Both statements stand together. I can acknowledge that something might pay for itself but still not support it (for other reasons.)

They cried before they were hit. Their grievances should have been handled through the Constitution. They had no right to secede. Many states, including some in the South, were created from U.S. territory. There was never any sovereignty.

They could have asked for legislation

There hasn't been a great deal of violence. Anyway, associating either mainstream party with street violence is nonsense.

Mark yourself down as the 4th to fail finding a quote of tRUMP condemning white supremacy, of those who like to claim he's done so.

~ Same here. Illegal aliens get around that by getting insurance "pay-by- the- month". Today I think you pay 3 months in advance to get tags/registration good for 1 year - then you go delinquent.
I will not go into statistics of illegal alien DUI involved arrests / accidents / property damage / court costs / injury.

There it is, the I'm glad I'm old because the world isn't the same as it was 50 yrs ago when I was young.
    Many old people say that.

The left always has power, as the world has progressed since man walked upright.

I will quote Trump for you via Factcheck.org.

    https://www.factcheck.org/2020/02/trump-has-condemned-white-supremacists/

The day of that incident Trump said, “We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides. On many sides.” Trump said he had spoken to Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, and “we agreed that the hate and the division must stop, and must stop right now. We have to come together as Americans with love for our nation and true affection — really — and I say this so strongly — true affection for each other.”

Two days later, on Aug. 14, 2017, Trump issued a statement from the White House, and referred to “KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.”

rump, Aug. 14, 2017: As I said on Saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence. It has no place in America.

And as I have said many times before: No matter the color of our skin, we all live under the same laws, we all salute the same great flag, and we are all made by the same almighty God. We must love each other, show affection for each other, and unite together in condemnation of hatred, bigotry, and violence. We must rediscover the bonds of love and loyalty that bring us together as Americans.

Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.

We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal. We are equal in the eyes of our Creator. We are equal under the law. And we are equal under our Constitution. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America.

Trump, Aug. 14, 2017: Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.

For all left wingers ignorance on the matter, I will accept everyones apology.

He didn't say "might". He said "WILL pay for itself as we move forward". See the difference?

He has denounced supremacy multiple times. He asked which group and was provided with a group that wasn't supremacist. I don't think he handled it well, should have once again gone hard against racists. Many watching will assume because of the way that it was presented that Proud Boys are supremacists.

Gawd. Pedantry at its best. Okay, he said it will pay for itself, and that he does not support it (for other unstated reasons.)

I think human beings when being attacked by two people at once tend to not be great at coming up with the best responses. I agree he should have said the same thing he said 3 years ago, but under pressure, the thing he said 3 years earlier probably did not come up.

To be fair, he was in a narcissistic infused fog. It's entirely possible he heard nothing either Biden nor Wallace asked or said. I don't believe Trump is a racist. He is an opportunist. Any support is good, regardless of from whence it came. They see it as approval; he sees only votes. He doesn't like anyone outside of those named Trump that he approves of.

He has already done so. Sigh.

To suggest anyone but the fringe supports this BS is just that, BS.

Biden explicitly said he's against any and all violence. Not his exact words, but very closely paraphrased.

This is a thread about the debate and my post concerned the debate, why the dodge?

He asked Wallace who he was talking and what did he mean and Wallace sad the Proud Boys and Trump yes stop what you are doing. Why was he even asked about it? And why did Wallace lie by omission about Charlottesville?

So did he then turn to Biden and ask him about his racist and bigoted statements, things he ACTUALLY said................no.

He did so in his Charlotte statement now show me where Biden has condemned BLM and Antifa and called on the Democrat mayors to stop the anarchy they are committing and the racism in which they engage, has he called out their racism?

I think he was trying to turn the issue on the left and it got all messed up from there.

ALLACE: “Are you willing tonight to condemn white supremacists and militia groups…”

    TRUMP: “Sure…”

WALLACE: “And to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities as we saw in Kenosha, and as we’ve seen in Portland”

TRUMP: “Sure, I’m prepared to do it, but I would say almost everything I see is from the left-wing not from the right-wing. I’m willing to do anything, I want to see peace…”

    WALLACE: “Then do it, sir.”

    BIDEN: “Do it, say it.”

TRUMP: “What do you want to call them? Give me a name.”

WALLACE: “White supremacists and right-wing militias”

    BIDEN: “Proud Boys”

Trump: “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s got to do something about Antifa and the left.”

Love it when you want the good guys to obey every rule, but don't expect the bad guy to obey any of them.

Has he condemned the racism and bigotry in the BLM and Antifa groups? Has he condemned the two groups.

"We’ll leave it to readers to make up their minds on Trump’s remarks, but Biden’s comment that Trump has “yet once to condemn white supremacy” is not accurate...

...The day of that incident Trump said, “We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides. On many sides.” Trump said he had spoken to Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, and “we agreed that the hate and the division must stop, and must stop right now. Trump, Aug. 15, 2017: I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally.

    https://www.factcheck.org/2020/02/trump-has-condemned-white-supremacists/

So Biden is lying, Wallace was out of place asking AGAIN and implying he not was either an outright lie, or a GROSS error and he should apologize especially in light of the fact he did not then ask Biden about his bigoted and racist statements.
