This diagnosis is an additional element to be added to the interminable disastrous record of this President. The man who insisted on reopening the economy as quickly as possible, in defiance of repeated warnings from his scientific advisors, has just discovered the meaning of the word "karma". How many people have been infected by his team? The count continues. Meetings without masks, no social distancing in his rallies. His supporters even made fun of the anti-COVID measures put in place in the country, when they did not openly rebel, encouraged by the greatest demagogue to have held the highest office. The man who was supposed to protect Americans made jokes about the virus, sarcasm during daily press briefings and false advice that Fauci and his team were forced to deny. Now, he will watch, bedridden at the WH, Joe Biden win the election. Infected by a virus he downplayed for months and which took away more than 200,000 of his fellow citizens.
He may have a mild case and not be bedridden. Only time will tell. I am hoping this is a wake up call and he and his staff take better precautions moving forward. Again, only time will tell.
Stuff and nonsense. The only thing Trump demonstrates is that this particular bug is far more contagious than anyone thought. And able to penetrate even the best defenses short of a vaccine we humans can muster. We can slow it down some but we can't stop it not til the vaccine comes on line. In the meantime we will have to rely on the cures and Treatments we already have on hand to reduce the mortality rate. Pretending that Trump or anyone else has a magic wand in his hip pocket that if he would just wave would make this all go away is just stupid.
Yes, but we cannot change the past. He made his choices at the time and, like all of us, can only use the information we have today to make better choices.
It’s exactly as contagious as anyone who’s been paying attention would have thought, and the Trump admin has shown anything but the best defenses possible for preventing virus transmission.
He acknowledged that he had the information more than 6 months ago. Yet he failed to take the right decisions then. What makes you think he would be able to take the right decisions now?
WTF? LOL. No, it demonstrates the need to wear a freaken mask and not spread your BS to others. Maybe then even the Flu death count will drop. Its only as contagious as it is cause people are filthy. ANd Trump not wearing a mask was top level negligence, endangers others who had no choice but to be around him. Even if I wear a mask and i have to be around him. Im at risk cause HES not wearing one.
nope, but anyone that plays it down and then gets it will probably be talked about how they played it down and we should all learn from their mistakes
I was thinking the same. On a human level, I kinda feel sorry for him. Not just for the covid, but for everything. Never in my years has my level of disbelief been tested as it has during the Trump years. And I ignored everything until impeachment. Just about a year ago. And I'm dumbfounded. I have no clue what is going on, and as long as my paycheck gets direct deposited into my account every week, I'm just gonna sit back and watch. As much as I think Trump is unfit for any position with authority, I hope he recovers. I also hope he gets the help he needs.
Remember he initially congratulated the Chinese leader for his efficient control of the spread of the virus!
He failed at protecting himself. If he can't successfully plan for his own health, how can he plan for the nation?
He can make better choices now. I don't understand why we haven't had all had hospital grade and reusable masks mailed free to all of us with strict instructions that not wearing one outside of the home will result in a fine. His rallies are hot spots and he probably caught his case there.
I hope he gets sick enough to knock him out of the race but not die. We need him alive and healthy enough to incarcerate in 2021. I'm really not trying to be vindictive but some sort of example needs to be made for this level of misconduct.
Add to that, never showing real empathy for the victims, other than the occasional lip service that his advisors probably told him to give, so he didn't look like a total di$k. Now, of course, his supporters want empathy from everyone else, after having the "I don't care, they'd have died anyway" attitude for 6 months.
