Really? If she had to ask that question why didn't she do it in the privacy of her office rather than before the entire country. Was there some premise to her question? She said she asks everyone who come before her this question, really? Has she no class?

Somebody on the committee has to ask so the Answer is on record in case anything comes up in the future. Due diligence.

It’s what the Senate is tasked with doing. It’s not always pretty, but it has to go on record. Anything that might put a Justice at risk for blackmail has to be probed.
