Really? Why shouldn't they be there to support their mother? Why did Hirono feel a need tonask that question amening the public form? It's an implied "I have no reason to believe you have not".

Is it something you are at liberty to share? It sounds like she asks it of ALL candidates so Barrett wasn't singled out.

 

I am not understanding what the problem is since she didn't single Barrett out. I could understand if she did, but she didn't. It's said that she ALWAYS asks that question so people should have known it was coming (and be prepared for it so their children aren't in the room).

 

Once again, I get that. Since the question is "standard" she could have opted to not bring her children or have a trusted adult remove them from the room. I would understand if the question come out of left field but it's said she routinely asks it.

Again, Hirono chose to ask the question when she wanted to and it shouldn't have been a surprise as it's a routine question asked of everyone. Yes, she could have been less public about it (and we don't know her reasons for not doing it in the private sessions) but that doesn't make the question, itself, invalid or wrong.

I don't recall Ginsburg or Sotomayor or Kagan or Roberts or Stevens or any other justice asked that in such a manner in the public forum and even Kavanaugh was not asked that before the phony accusations came forward. What accusations have come forward about Barrett?

I NEVER said the children shouldn't be allowed there. I inquired about why they were there given their mother would be answering questions. I now know the answer is that it's a special occasion. Fair enough.

I never said anything about children watching television. I didn't sit my kids in front of the tv for hours on end, but that's because we were constantly interacting with them in other ways. I would never dictate what OTHER people should do relative to their kid(s) and tv though.

 

I'd like to see evidence of that.
