Dude I know all that. Organizing a 30 to 50k test is problematic enough. Adding another 50k people only adds to the time it takes to do phase three testing without significantly impacting the data set.

Hundreds of thousands of more new republicans than democrats have been registered in Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

That Trump is doing better with Hispanics and doubling his numbers with blacks has been reported by countless sources. If Trump gets 15% of the black vote (and he'll likely get more), the Dems are screwed for the next generation.

Biden is underperforming with Hispanics in Texas, NY Times no less, read and weep cause in reality this means Biden is underperforming with Hispanics everywhere ;)

Forbes says something like 97 billionaires for Trump, 105 for Biden, big difference. What I'm saying is that it's more complex and nuanced than you pretend. It's not as simple as you say, Biden Man BAD, Orange Man GOOD. Trump is swamp too and more corrupt than Biden. Period, full stop. And sure, I don't like the Dems either, I'm an independent who abhors both parties, but under Trump the country is in a full blown mess, and it happened under his watch, and we need him gone. In four years we can vote Biden out too and hope that a decent candidate surfaces, for a change.

That's what I am saying. From the post you quoted: "But doing a bigger phase 3 won't change the magnitude of statistical effect in any significant way... but will delay it." It's just that with my verbose self, I said it with one million words and you said it with 36.

So you have "countless" imaginary "sources" but the only one you can produce is BEHIND a PAYWALL in violation of PF Rules!

    :roflol:

I just did the research for that utterly BOGUS allegation about blacks and Hispanics and it turns out to be just as nonsensical as the rest of the unsubstantiated claptrap you have posted.

A small SUBSET comprising YOUNG black and Hispanic MALES have shown a marginal increase in support but that was MONTHS ago BEFORE Biden picked Harris as his running mate. Like ALL young people turnout in this demographic is always the LOWEST and LEAST reliable.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/biden-trump-black-voters-opinion-poll-10-25-2020/

You are dreaming if you believe that your wannabe Fascist-in-Chief will get 15% of the black vote.

As far as Latino support for Biden is concerned he has made significant GAINS.

FTR in PA there are a great many Puerto Ricans who were forced to leave after your wannabe Fascist-in-Chiefs MISERABLE failure to respond to the hurricane. They are highly motivated to vote AGAINST him in this election. From the numbers above that effectively knocks PA out of reach and firmly into the Bidan column.

I do sincerely apologize. I got the impression from one of your posts in this thread that, although you are an American, you currently live in Brazil and I was jealous; I should have checked!
I made a number of trips there as well on mission for the company I worked with, but my Portuguese never reached the level I wished it had, except for reading newspapers.
It really is a fascinating country! São Paulo city is what I used to call an efficient chaos, a 24/7 beehive (garbage collection a.o. is very reliable, which is essential for a 20 million people metropolis).
Notwithstanding the high criminality rate, most people are nice and welcoming and they work hard. And they're very ingenious in their struggle for survival! Not to mention the wonderful food (ah the feijoada and the churrascarias)...and the girls!

    Até logo...

Oh, Borat thinks he won the discussion because since what I posted, some more billionaires finally had the common sense that Trump is making the economy sink because there is nothing that damages more an economy than an out-of-control lethal pandemic. So good for them, they are waking up and switching to Biden. Excellent. I hope their donations are put to good use in a blitz of ads that preserve Biden's Rust Bell advantage and we send Trump to the sunset of History.

No worries, nao precisa se desculpar (no apology necessary). I totally agree. I love feijoada, the churrascarias are wonderful, and there are other dishes too, like seafood with coconut and dende oil, and the salgadinhos (little salty finger food) are spectacular (coxinhas, empadas, pasteis, bolinhos de bacalhau) and so on. The music, the beaches, caipirinhas, soccer, the gorgeous women... And the country is very beautiful too (Iguacu Falls, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, etc.). Indeed, it is a pity that there is so much crime and poverty. It's a strange country of contrasts. Very developed, modern, vibrant and sophisticated (Sao Paulo is a world-class city) but then also chaotic, full of crime and drug lords, inequality with the very rich side by side with the very poor. It's a fascinating country with the strongest possible culture, but also a very complicated place. This said, I never faced any danger there. Always had a great time, and you are right, the Brazilians are smart, hardworking, very well-trained in my scientific field, welcoming and friendly.

I think you and CenterField are loosing your time and energy trying to open up Borat's eyes. If your very telling post doesn't make him throw up, it is hopeless. He must be on Trump campaign payroll (not Trump's- he is too mean to give anyone money!) with a mission to try and boost the trumpists morale at all cost and using the lowest arguments and gutter insults.

My 2 cents advice if you allow me: move on, don't help him publish his nonsense!

True but at least with me Borat has been civil. I think chances are that he does believe in what he is saying. He's in for a surprise (unless Trump manages to steal the election through claiming fraud and getting the Judiciary to support him). But I'm aware that we'll not convince him, and he won't convince us, and we're hijacking someone else's thread. I made some appeals for us to stop doing it but it seems, to no avail, haha.

The overwhelming majority of billionaires, the entire Wall Street, the entire swamp, every single lobbyist... the all want "normalcy" which for them the ability to maintain their elitist lifestyle and ruling class status, be above the law, enrich themselves and their cronies at the expense of the american people, wage useless wars, outsource jobs in exchange for 20 silver pieces... the things they'd been doing together with Biden for 50 years before Trump came along.

And what exactly did Trump do differently? He didn't drain any swamp. He is the biggest swamp creature himself. Did he bring back industries that had their factories abroad? If yes please quote exactly what factories and how many employees. Did he stop the billionaires' happy party and made they pay their fair share in taxes? No, he gave them the biggest tax cut. Did he prosecute corrupt people? No, several people he hired or were his fixers ended up prosecuted themselves. "Just the best people" indeed...

Don't make me laugh. Trump is no champion of virtue. He is the most corrupt of them all.

Now, regarding who will win in 6 days, I just had a change of heart. It is actually very possible that Trump will win fair and square without a need for cheating, for some important reasons:

    1. Ground game. His is much better than Biden's which is practically non-existing
    2. The cultural profile of his voters is not one that is conducive of saying yes to a phone pollsters and replying to 25 questions asked by a stranger. Maybe the polls remain grossly inaccurate anyway despite methodology tweaks.
    3. A lot of people are shy about saying they support Trump. They may be saying they will vote against him to be PC but may end up voting for him in the secret of the ballot box.
    4. It's estimated that 1,000,000 votes will be legitimately discarded due to mistakes made by voters who are unfamiliar with the process (such as no signature, no witness, etc). This hits non-whites more heavily and may make a different in swing states

And finally, when one thinks of Biden's multiple paths to victory even if he loses Pennsylvania, one needs to realize that if he loses Pennsylvania, it's like Pennsylvania being a big poll. If he can't win there, the state where he was born and has huge urban centers with a diverse population, it means he is doing poorly with the people and will do poorly elsewhere, too, so it's not like "he can lose Pennsylvania but pull off an upset in Georgia" etc. If he loses Pennsylvania he is likely to also lose Florida, NC, Georgia, etc. His path to victory becomes complicated.

So, as a matter of fact, nobody can be as convinced of Biden's imminent victory as I've been. It remains to be seen. It depends on turnout (that's where the ground game is important), on his voters not screwing up with the ballots, and on the polls being more accurate than in 2016.

When we look at these issues (ground game, higher percentage of invalid mail-in votes by his voters) we realize that a 2% lead in Florida may perfectly become a 1% loss. And so on in other swing states.

So, no, Biden's victory is not guaranteed at all, and his chances are likely to be much smaller than the 88% that pollsters are giving him.

Not bad on the chances, not bad at all :D

    1. Do you actually think that you can drain in 4 years what's been festering for 50, if not more? Impossible under the best of circumstances... which weren't the best, the swamp fought back like there is no tomorrow, still does, from spying on his campaign, to Mueller's witch hunt, to bogus impeachement, now the swamp resorts to censorship.. I guess so far his biggest achievement is that he's exposed the swamp to the public and to himself, we know it exists, we pretty much know who they are, the second term's progress on this will be much more substantial

    2. Manufacturing jobs:

    3. He did not promise to tax the rich, he is not a democrat. Yet during his presidency the median family income went up $6,000, in 3 years... It had been stagnant for decades, it went up $1,000 during Obama's 8 years.

    4. Virtually no corrupt people have been prosecuted by his administration. Swamp don't prosecute swamp :(. Chris Wray was a huge mistake :(. It ties back into my #1 item above.

It's work in progress and he is going in the right direction, lest we forget, amazing international successes, 3 middle eastern peace treaties and one in Europe, the destruction of ISIS, lest we forget lowest unemployment on record, energy independence, skyrocketing stock market...

Last but not the least, Trump is on the right side of all these issues, Biden says he is democratic party... he is not, Bernie/AOC are. But Biden is swamp.

Look, you are quoting a conservative think tank, the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Of course they'll have graphs like this one.
Just one of these days though, I was looking at a graph by... the New York Times, haha, about jobs under several recent presidents, from Bill Clinton to Trump. As you can imagine, the curve was very different than the TPPF's. I mean, I hardly pay attention to these things any longer as they are both equally biased in how they count, what they count, etc., depending on whether the source is conservative or progressive. The truth is probably in the middle.

Look, Trump PARDONED corrupt people... like Rod Blagojevich LOL. No, he won't drain any swamp in his second term. That was just a campaign promise to appeal to his base. Don't be naive, my friend. Trump thrives in corruption. He looooooves corruption. Corruption is how he got rich (that, plus daddy's money).

It's like his healthcare plan... where did I see this film before? In his townhall he was saying that in two weeks he'd come up with a beauuuuutiful healthcare plan... It seems like he believes that he can make now the same promises he made 4 years ago. Same with "I'll drain the swamp."

Oh, Middle East treaties, huh? I guess you don't realize that these are often short-lived, until the next tension comes up and the parties forget all about it. We'll see in a few years if there is any trace left. That conflict is two thousand years old and it's not today's treaties that will stop it. There's been plenty of other nice-looking treaties in the past that didn't do much to change the situation and were rapidly forgotten. Meanwhile, I thought he was doing away with North Korea's nuclear program! What's up with that, pray tell?

Like I said, I think Trump may very well win re-election. If he does, it will be a huge mistake committed by we, the people. He needs to go. He is screwing up badly.

Trump's Policy Boosts Manufacturing Jobs 399% Over Obama

    https://www.realclearpolicy.com/201..._manufacturing_jobs_399_over_obama_41165.html

LOL at your "but but but Middle East Treaties are such insignificant and fickle things, Obama/Biden could have gotten a dozen of them but they just did not bother" nonsense. Dude, it's frankly pathetic

Lest we forget that the Camp David accords are 42 and they are as good as new, the peace agreement between Israel and Jordan is also 26 and is stronger than ever.

Shameful, very shameful, especially for a liberal to denigrate Earth shattering peace treaties. Not good.

Are you under the impression that I'm an Obama fan or a liberal?
    What makes you think so?
Just the fact that I didn't vote for Trump?
Newsflash: there are plenty of people who won't vote for Trump and are not liberals or Obama fans. I wonder what liberal voted for the Republican senator and his/her district's Republican house representative. I also wonder what liberal IN THIS VERY THREAD kept bashing Sanders and AOC like I repeatedly did in my dialogue with LoneStarGal. Pay attention, will you? Take your "but Obama" defense elsewhere because I have strictly nothing to do with Obama.
Yeah, some treaties are lasting. Others aren't. Trump's, we'll see.

    You've left a few clues :)

You've repeated pretty much every single democrat/MSM talking point and scare tactic i.e. the libs have been rioting for half a year now, openly declaring that they would riot if Trump wins (and we now know, they mean business) but it's the concern about the proud boys that wakes you up at night :). That's just one of many examples of course.

But just today you complained that Trump did not "make billionaires pay their fair share of taxes"... This was a dead giveaway, not that it's necessarily wrong, but it's such a liberal thing to say, it's such a popular liberal cliché and an attack line against republicans...It's how the liberal brain is wired, not the brain of an independent. This really leaves no doubt that you are a liberal, none whatsoever :)

    No, dear.
    1. You don't know me as well as I know me, obviously.
    2. You left out what I said: what liberal that you know, votes Republican for the Senate and the House and bashes Sanders and AOC at every opportunity?
    3. I'm starting to actually think that you're quite politically unsophisticated. You believe that a single issue defines a person's political inclination. No. Being a centrist means that some of my positions are rightist, some are leftist, and some (actually a minority of them) are in the middle. It doesn't mean that ALL my positions are in the middle (which would be more akin to being bland or undecisive). It does mean that the leftist and rightist ones tend to cancel each other out so that I land on the middle.

So, yes, I do think that Trump having a net worth of $2.5 billion and paying $750 in taxes is preposterous. Same with Warren Buffett but at least the latter acknowledges it himself.

Therefore, yes, in this, I have a leftist view.

But what about this? I'm 100% for fracking. I think that all this stuff about clean energy is desirable but for the future. We're not there yet and as of now we need energy independence, and the clean energy sources are unable to replace the fossil fuel ones. So, frack and drill, baby, frack and drill. It's very rare to find a liberal who thinks like me on this.

Illegal immigration? Don't get me started. I hate it. If feasible, I'd love to see every single one of them, deported, and banned from re-entry for life. I don't like anchor babies either. I think we should no longer practice jus solis. Most developed countries don't. Hey, try to find some liberal who thinks like me on this.

Military spending? Absolutely! I want the strongest military we can afford. The world out there is tough and will get tougher.

So, I guess, if we were in a thread exclusively talking about fracking, illegal aliens, and the military, and I talked about these views of mine, you'd be saying "welcome, fellow rightist conservative! So nice to have you here!"

Again, people and situations are more complex than you think. Your black-and-white thinking is once more in full display, and dismissed.

Now, yes, I believe in people paying taxes instead of dodging them and using loopholes to avoid them, placing unnecessary burden on others. I also believe in strong public health and a safety net in the matter of health care - not necessarily universal healthcare, but yes, some expansion of Medicaid and a basic public option (while preserving the private-sector health insurance, with regulations - that is, a hybrid system like France's). So, the former is an example of leftist thinking and the latter, an example of centrist thinking.

I'm for the free market and capitalism, but also, I think some consumer protections are necessary. Similarly, I believe that too many regulations stifle economic growth, but I also think that employees deserve some rights and protections too, although I do think that some unions often become predatory.

Some social issues also demonstrate how I veer left in some issues and right in some others. For example, I abhor abortion, as a practicing Catholic. But I don't mind gay marriage at all. While I'm decisively straight, I have nothing against gay people. I'm actually glad that the Pope finally spoke at least in favor of gay civil unions.

So, sorry, my naive friend, but it's not accurate to refer to me as "you're a liberal because you believe that people should pay their fair share of taxes." There's a LOT more to my political positions than that.

Which is EXACTLY what being an independent is. You can't peg me into the narrow box of a set of "liberal" or "conservative" ideas. I'm not among the sheep that think IN BLOC and aligned with EVERYTHING that is "supposed" to be proper to believe in, according to one or the other position. No, I think by myself. I couldn't care less if someone's brain gets all bent out of shape when the person realizes that I am BOTH not bothered by gay rights AND bothered by abortion. That I'm BOTH for fair taxes AND for fracking. And so on and so forth.

    Get it?

By the way, is this woman a liberal?

Selling **** isn't the same thing... Trump sold services and products, and much of that money is an estimate of what permission to sell in China is worth not actual money made.

Dude, you are so in the wrong camp lol
Fracking, illegal immigration, abortions bad, gay marriages - OK, strong military, capitalism, decrease in regulations....
That's president Donald J. Trump for you, you two agree on virtually everything, your views have more in common with Trump's than mine :D

If your guy wins though, welcome to the world of no fracking, no oil industry, rampant illegal immigration, abortions until birth, weak military, socialism and how is the green new deal for regulations.

PS Democrats always tax the rich, these tax hikes come with huge loopholes for the rich, that are not available for the middle class. The rich (perhaps including Trump) don't pay taxes because the swamp (Biden) wrote tax laws allowing the rich to not pay any taxes... Drain the swamp!

Why do you keep trying to tell me what I know already, while quoting a post where I said it explicitly? Didn't I mention the loopholes for the rich?

I do understand that I share many ideas with Trump, which is why I posted a long thread called "Am I the last undecided voter?" which went on for pages and pages, in which I was talking about the pros and cons of both tickets, and for the longest time I was planning to vote for Trump although I wasn't certain yet. Then he lost me due to the pandemic. I'm a healthcare professional and my absolute first priority is public health, second, healthcare plans. In both, Trump scores a minus 10 out of 100. I have explained to you already, why I want him gone.

What damages your take is that Trump won't drain any swamp. Mark my words. That's all posturing. That's all empty promises. He didn't go against any corrupt person. Well he whines about Hillary and Biden but that's because in his narcissism he can't stand people who run against him. Otherwise even Rod Blagojevich he pardoned. Trump loves corrupt people. Where I see corruption, he sees a business opportunity. Your idea that Trump will drain the swamp is hopelessly naive. He promised that 4 years ago, did nothing, and is promising it again. Just like he promised healthcare reform four years ago, did nothing (although for two years he had both chambers of Congress), and now is promising it again.

Wake up, my friend. He fooled you. All that he wants is to favor the top 1% club and to enhance his own ego and fortune.

"Make America Great Again" - Did you see the poll I posted, the latest one by YahooNews/YouGov? In ALL items, the majority of the public rated America as worse now than four years ago. ALL of them. Economy, crime, race relations, job security, consumer confidence, healthcare, foreign afairs, etc. etc.

Trump didn't Make America Great Again. He made it worse. I don't see how we should reward him with four more years.

About the socialist catastrophes that wait us in your opinion if Biden wins, I'm not impressed. First, because I think it's hard to screw up as much as Trump did. Anything should be better than this disaster. Trump had unqualified people in his cabinet, and the few competent people he had around him, left ihim n disgust. Many others got arrested and indicted. Others are grossly incompetent and lead agencies that they have no clue about (like that moron, the former governor of Texas Rick Perry who has a bachelor's degree in Animal Husbandry of all things, leading the Department of Energy, when predecessors were freaking Nobel Prize-winning physicists - thankfully Perry resigned, after the Ukraine scandal). The previously respected agencies like the CDC and the FDA are in shambles. Second, because every election, one side says that the other one will bring about gloom and doom and the sky will fall.

Most of the radical policies you are mentioning are, one, not in Biden's platform, two, mostly campaign talking points by the Trump campaign that have no basis in reality; three, the few that Biden actually does talk about, it's a bunch of political posturing that won't materialize once (if) Biden is elected; four, even if he wanted to do those things, they wouldn't pass Congress.

No, if Biden wins, we'll be fine; nothing can be worse than the disastrous Trump years.
