That's fine. But with the wall, other states will have a say who/what goes through.

Anyone got some photos of this new caravan, or is it, as I suggest, that the existence of this claimed caravan is merely the opined expectation of some commentator?

Yep. Same way my ancestors and yours came in. I'd never turn down a hard-working, honest worker who wants to move here. It would be completely irrational to do so. I honestly can't think of a single economically educated person who would.

But I though Obama Biden are the ones who put them in cages ? Or are they open borders ? Apparently for the right, its whichever provides the best political opportunity for them.

I read an article yesterday that said that some of the border wall contractors actually hired Mexican firms to secure their job sits. So much for Mexico paying for the wall, because were actually paying Mexico to build the wall now ;)

Yep. Their coming to eat our babies. But on the brighter side they all have pockets full of cash from Mexico to help pay for the wall.

Keep them, the rest of the country will do just fine having you pay for water and energy ;)

No my friend; Ima first-gen and had to jump through all the hoops put up by the US Government to make sure I don't come here illegally. And so I have.

Which part of "following the law" are you disputing?

None. And you would know that if you had bothered to read. Why won't you? So far the only people arguing against our immigration laws on this thread are the ones arguing against our actual asylum laws and trying to introduce new barriers.

Why would a rational, economically educated person bring in workers in times of high unemployment?

The ones who understand that economics/the employment market isn't a zero sum game, sure.

Surely a us citizen won’t have any issue getting a job over a newly arrived migrant who likely don’t speak the language or have much in the way of a formal education.

You need to seek some kind of help, Mellow, if that post above is reflective of what you really think.... I'm serious.

You want to discuss Christianity? We are a nation that flatly forbade itself to adopt ANY official religion in our Constitution. What Christianity teaches often has a great deal of worth and value, but it is not (NOT) a matter of national policy!

You want more people to FIND Social Security? We already have enough bums and hangers-on getting on the Social Security disability 'gravy-train' as it is! And in lots of cases, there are people -- citizens -- who have never worked a day!

You want to "stick it to the commies"? Reflect on this: Russia and China now both practice neo-capitalism. We, on the other hand, are becoming mired in neo-socialism.

"Commies"...? Really? Do you realize that the Soviet Union fell 29 years ago this month...?!

Well, I'm not a mind reader, Mellow. I understand being fat-fingered and typing the wrong thing, but I usually correct it by reading what I've posted. Whatever. So, let's skip over that... I've done worse than that myself.

As far as Venezuela and Cuba are concerned (since you say you didn't mean the biggest, most notable "Commies" the world ever has known -- the Soviet Union and China), please consider that none of the 'caravans' being formed for invasion of the United States right now are from Venezuela or Cuba.

The shithole countries we need to worry about are in Central America, and, Mexico (as usual)....

Bona fide refugees yes, but NOT economic migrants. Keep in mind that traversing or bypassing another nation forfeits any claim to refugee status.

They should lose any right to asylum given that, since they haven't SOUGHT asylum. Had they been genuine, they would have stopped in the very first port of call.

Bingo! It's so disingenuous for anybody to say that illegal invasions of the United States are justifiable because somebody wants to have "a better life" or any of that socialistic crap.

Besides, it is not (NOT) the responsibility of the citizens of the United States of America to provide citizens of OTHER countries with "a better life"... but we can destroy our own country trying to do that if America-hating hyperliberal socialists right here are successful in smothering the rest of us with their internationalist 'wet-dreams'.

Well yah they aren’t Cubans lol
Venezuelans also come by these caravans. But you asked a blanket question about why we should help anyone, and I’m telling you.

Which means they are NOT seeking asylum. They're seeking money, or something else.

Actually that's exactly what it means. It must be the FIRST safe port you enter. Move on from that and you lose all right to call yourself a refugee. You are now an economic migrant.
