What we have is certainly a contrast with the penniless sinners withwhom Jesus was chastiesed for associating. But, I don't believe religion would go away if all the profit were sucked out of it.
Adam lived to be over 900 years old. Can medical science do that? And, God doesn't let people die. Dying is part of living. If God intervened on every person's wish list, this world would be in total anarchy and blow it's self up with nukes. In order for mankind and the world to survive, he has to remain silent on this idea that he should save every person's life. He will do a little here and a little there. But, answering everyone's wish would cause anarchy. Think about it. Hollywood is usually pinned as against godly things and God himself by many. But, there's a new movie out, WW84. There's a good person who wants to do good for people and his family. Especially his son. But, he is given the power to grand everyone's wish in the world. I don't want to give the story out if you haven't seen it yet. Just came out yesterday. But, the concept is if everyone received their greatest wish, we would be in total anarchy with WW3 happening. Whoever wrote the script may have done the world a great favor. Liberal leftist Democrats want every ill in the world to stop. Their wish is good. But, their methods of Marxism, Fascism, Anarchy will tear the world apart. No, God cannot and will not grant everyone's wish to live 900 years.
Really! Tell us please! It's the science that has shown us the problem. It's science that has found that 6 billion year old galaxy when the universe was only 1.5 billion years old. Seems to me that secular scientists have a lot of explaining to do! How they have been lying to the people all these years.
You still didn't answer how a 6 billion year old galaxy is showing up when the universe is only 1.5 billion years old. Of course secular science can't answer this quickly. They have to stay quiet until people forget about it. It's not creation scientists that discovered this either. There is certainly something wrong with the way we interpret the calculations on when light gets here from the furthest away light. But, since your brainiest secularist scientists can't give us an answer, why then do you object to alternative theories such as the Genesis account? Then, you could start asking the question, how did he do this on just one time period?
?? I've never claimed to have an answer to this late breaking find. In science, these things get publicized long before anyone has had a chance to confirm the various different observations and figure out what it means. And, no, physicists know how fast light travels. And, there are a good number of ways to determine how far away light sources are. This one find does not dispute that. The Genesis account does not match ANYTHING that astronomers and cosmologists find by looking at our universe. Nothing. And, it's not even CLOSE in any aspect. Remember that you are asking about objects that are BILLIONS of years old. That's not within fudging distance of your young Earth ideas. That gigantic difference in time leaves you with no way to defend the age of Earth, let alone the universe. My own view is that there is more meaning in Genesis as an allegory than could possibly ever be there by restricting to a literal interpretation. The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and Tree of Life are clearly allegorical. And, there are far more important things for Christians to think about than why there is more than one creation allegory or where the people of Nod came from. I'm not interested in attacking Christianity. However, I do think we have to believe what we find when we choose to look. For example, nobody should believe that god is constantly manufacturing photons to hit Earth in patterns that make us think that there are galaxies when there actually aren't any galaxies. When we catch photons from distant objects (with our eyes, with telescopes, with cameras) we need to believe that's real - not faked by God.
There is abundant scientific theory on the creation of galaxies. So don't make claims about science without doing a little homework. I'll take the claims of astrophysics any day over anonymous claims concerning a magic man in the sky creating everything.
This book provides the best explanation for the science deniers. https://www.amazon.com/God-Virus-Re...ld=1&keywords=god+virus&qid=1609042330&sr=8-1 Clearly the education system is totally failing in teaching people basic science.
Exactly. The only proof is his opinion. Religion is founded on a group of people getting together and agreeing on opinions.
To be sure. Since education is totally dependent upon support of parents, it’s no wonder respect for the sciences dwindle when many kids parents turn on Fix News every evening.
An abundant of theories doesn't make any of them true. So, don't make that mistake of being safe by the numbers. You have only done homework from one side of the issue. When will you do your real work? Study both side objectively like a journalist should. like a Republican journalist does. Not a Democrat one.
What state was the earth in at those times? I think God also wanted to lessen the age of man. The flood did this. People stopped living so long after the flood. As there are secular theories, and just theories, their are also believer theories as well. When we read Genesis, it seems that perhaps the earth was in a different state where the sun didn't affect life the same way. Their were waters that were divided by Heaven. The waters may still have been limiting bad effects upon man at that time. The flood account says their was water from the heavens and the deep that filled the earth. After the flood, the sun's bad rays were not blocked. Man began to live less and less years. There was more disease spread around the world because of the flood as well. It's a theory. But, so is yours. Just a theory.
There's an abundance of science behind believes as well. If you studied them objectively, you would find this to be so. But, you won't. I can tell. You aren't a real scientist. Real scientists are objective.
So, we can’t live as long after the flood ? Does that mean people who swim a lot should live shorter lives ? Nope. It’s not a theory. It’s a wild guess.
Being a scientist means you study and experiment before making conclusions. That's not you. Here's www.icr.org. Study what they have and then make decisions. But, you won't. You'll take a look for a couple of seconds and close. Because you don't want to know. It may cause you to have to re-evaluate your prejudices.
Ha ha.....Scientist ? That’s from a bogus creation wannabe source. Creationism isn’t science. It’s Oz. Do you really have a degree somewhere or are you just playing catch with Bible. You creationist can’t get over that science doesn’t support your bogus ideas, so you just steal the word “science” and pretend you are one.....that’s woo woo.
The ICR closed its online school after the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board declined to accredit ICR's online graduate school for science or science education.
Just click on www.icr.org and read any study on a topic of science or geology. Look at who wrote the article and see the PhD's associated with their names. And, look at where they received their PhD's from. Same universities as secular scientists. In fact, many of them were secular scientist until they realized that the science wasn't proving the hypothesis and their theories weren't working out. It's interesting the bigotry by secularists who demand that their views be heard but anything that opposes them be silenced and ridiculed. Some start off believing in God and fall away while others start off not believing and gain belief in God through their work of science. Why can't there be dialog between both groups. Why are you so jaded towards one?
Make sense since the universities are run by liberal democrat socialists and Marxists. The teacher unions are democrats and therefore Marxists as well. Marxism has to deny the existence of God and denounce anything that would lead to the belief in God.
Really, the profit from religion is limitless as long as less aware people have money. We’ll see people go hungry just so their pastor can have a private jet.
