that is how all my cats came to be my cats. the sickly saddest ones usually get brought indoors as kitten to try to save and then never leave if they make it. My neighborhood was overrun with cats when i first moved here but they have winnowed down around my street to be about an even level. as a few come in new every year, a few more cross the rainbow bridge or move along. Having the females I can befriend fixed helped a lot toward bringing the numbers under control.

 

Kudos on breaking their kitten making apparati The nieghbor indiscriminatly feeds them (and a few skunks and racoons (unwillingly, judging from the yelling from her house the other day) they are very distructive to the

 

When a doe has three will one have to be hand fed or can she feed all three?

 

I have a drama going on with the bird feeders. I put two trays of food out front because the back was getting over run with birds. The first day out there were about 20 birds feeding, that was cool. Next day no birds came to feed, there was plenty of food and no birds. We kept watching and the mystery was solved. We have one big fat robin that is guarding the trays, if another bird comes to feed he will chase them away. It is the funniest thing ever, no bird can get past him.

 

Another one of God's jokes on us?.. why is it so much easier to expel flatus when lying down?

 

I have found it is better to let mom figure it out. I would make sure momma had high quality food and plenty of it.

 

$100 for a goat sound about right? The goat man came in to pay his insurance,, but I'm not ready to start raising goats..

 

You do get use to not hearing it but you will wake up when you don't hear it at it's scheduled time.

 

Just a little but it melts away from my thoughts when I think about finally taking a trip in April to Scottsdale Az. Want to tour the western part of Az. towards Tucson. Got my first dose of Covid vaccine (Moderna) and get second dose at end of Feb. Have had to cancel vacation three times already. Told wife to book it this time. If flight canceled I'm going even if I have to drive. have to drive

@Tigger2 My Cotman water colors came in yesterday and the difference they made was unbelievable. It was like getting silk when gingham was expected. Thank you for the hint or advice. Now I have to find the time to sit down and really work with them. I just dabbled a bit yesterday to see what the difference would be.

 

Are you going to feel completely safe from covid after your second shot.

 

Wonderful. You should see a difference, they will mix better and soak into the paper leaving a translucent sheen.

Good question. I got the Moderna and haven't heard any horror story's yet. We did have a 58 year old lady die from the Pfizer vaccine very shortly after she got it. The Moderna is a two part shot and I had no reaction after the first one. I see Airlines are talking about requiring people to have proof they were vaccinated. Seeing I want to fly to Az in April I would be pretty mad if I died before that.

 

I'm driving .. I think some 24 hours worth this summer, going up by Salt Lake..

I hated commercial flying before, flew back 1st of May, and I'll never subject myself to that again. The stupid mask and then herded into a tightly packed aluminum tube.. that after the TSA invasiveness

 

also figure.. I have to drive some 4 hours to the port, park the vehicle for the duration, then I dunno.. they say check in an hour before the flight leaves.. then if there are lay overs.. sheesh.. get transportatoin at the other end..

 

yep, I don't know why internal flights still insist you check in an hour before the flight.

 

Just a few hours when I get some spare time. I drew a horse head just for practice and tried a one color wash of a small drawing.

 

Yeah, that would be something to get mad about.

 

I meant, how long have you been painting?

 

Altogether about 15 years off and on, I got burnt out and just recently started back. I thought it would be fun to paint designs for a company...and that was a mistake although I learned a lot about mixing colors. The fine line between love and hate was broken.

 

I found the trouble with painting for anyone else is you have to paint what they like rather than what you like.

I tend to do quite a lot of landscape painting, though I have dabbled with other stuff.
