Can you back that up? What does the policy say? Biden could change the policy with an EO, but he hasn't. I think it should be relaxed, but removing the drug from sched 1 needs to be done first. It's not something I find critical right now. There's plenty of time for marijuana debate, and I'm not finding this particular reporting to be compelling.
Back what up? You kind of backed that up for me. All he has to do is issue an EO. He could remove it from sched 1 also. Congress can't evidently. They want the FDA to give approval and the FDA won't do it because they want clinical trials and clinical trials can't be done for smoking because you know if you are smoking pot or not (no possible placebo). I would think that they could do trials with edibles but that would ruin their excuses.
What the policy actually says. It seems pointless arguing government function without knowing this. Congress certainly can but won't. Biden could change the policy with an EO, but removing the drug from schedule 1 would likely require these trials. Congress could change this. The banks will eventually be the drivers for federal legalization. Everything is cash business right now. Good for Brinks, not so for bank card issuers. After enough states legalize it, the banks will want people to buy weed with credit cards, just like alcohol and tobacco.
Just about everyone has smoked weed. Ill bet money these folks are being fired for other reasons, but weed is just easier to put on the pink slip.
As someone who held a SECRET level clearance, I can clearly tell you that that is not so. For TOP SECRET it may differ, but I doubt it. The lengthy questions they ask include those about prior drug use, and if you answer that you did use cannabis in the past, you can still be cleared. If, however, you are honest and disclose current use, that would be a problem. But since they drug test for those jobs, and THC stays in your blood for up to two months, and you avoided the stuff long enough to test clean, it would be a true statement, not a lis. But that was then, and I understand that they now have a saliva test that discloses THC going back only a few days, then you may have to fib. But the penalty if you get caught in that lie? No job is worth that. Oddly enough, this old reprobate never took a single drug test. One of the perks of working as an indepentent contractor is that even when working through an agency, they never bothered to test me. The only time I worked for any length of time as a corporate employee, it was before the days of testing everybody for anything except alcohol, the most dangerous drug of them all. That said, I gonna get a beer to go with the OG Kush I currently have in the vape.
You mean like Trump had hemp removed from schedule one? Is that something he did you agree with? Biden, the modern Anslinger...
Or answer an inconvenient and embarrassing question....Yes or no, was Trump right to move towards removing pot from schedule one? Take your time, I'm going to bed. Good night all.
Lol. Hemp is a fiber. I'm sure the hemp industry is happy, but we're talking about marijuana, which Trump didn't remove. It's not a process of steps. Your question is fallacious.
When is he going to get rid of Harris then? https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/kam...-college-calls-legalization/story?id=60992119
Possession of cannabis is illegal, having been high at some point is not. Heck, being high right now is not.
Quite right. After reading more, I agree that firing for having used in past (versus current use) is very different and not a good reason for firing.
I enjoy hearing a diversity in opinions. I guess you don't. You're only interested in hearing something that just reinforces your beliefs. So sad since that just makes you part of the problem with our very divided country.
I still wouldn't want White House employees smoking weed...That was what staffers from the last administration needed, not this one.
Opinions, yes ... but I'm not interested in sifting through mindless propaganda. Same reason I'm not interested in MSNBC. Says the Trump supporter.
You really think a Trump supporter is going to watch CNN and MSNBC? What you see as mindless propaganda I see as someone else who is entitled to their opinion just like you are entitled to yours.
