War is murder. If you can find any still alive ask anyone who fought in WWII. There's a reason Veterans of that conflict rarely talked about it.

Really? You would feel justified in killing somebody from a distance because they LOOK like they might support Universal Health Care? Because that is what happened in Sarajevo. Snipers were shooting normal people from up to a mile away because they LOOKED like Muslims.

Civil War or any war is never about ideology or right or wrong or anything but KILLING, and I put it in all caps because that's ALL it is.

Nixon was most certainly forced to resign and it doesn't matter what he did or did not do, it left a stain and a grudge. Politics aren't always ethical. The thing that always struck me about it was it was so unnecessary, he was a popular President and a good one.

So, Republicans are ready to kill because......they can't figure out what Dems want. It would make more sense if they could explain why they'd do it, but now it seems its just that they lost the elections.

Well the violence has been coming from groups aligned with the left.

I read that the reason the Supreme Court did not take up Trump's case against Pennsylvania in the election was that they were afraid of the destruction and violence that would ensue if he won, since there was so much of it in 2016. It was a planned insurrection then, and it would have been even worse if Biden's win was overturned.

The riots? None of they advocated any political party.

Jan-6 certainly did do that, and now 30% are on board with more of the same.

Are you saying that groups like antifa and BLM aren't liberals?

Who radicalized the 11% of Democrats who share the same ideas on violence as the 30% of Republicans? Who radicalized the 17% of independents? Just curious.

Oh geez.... "suffered.... "severe" effects after getting a vaccine. Were they on a respirator for weeks before either getting out as a human wreck or dead? Nope. The exaggeration is utterly and utterly pathetic. I wouldn't even know any vaccine that goes without such "severe" effects. Heck. your random pill against a headache comes with an entire list of severe side effects. https://www.drugs.com/sfx/paracetamol-side-effects.html And that really does says it all.

What's next? Complain getting a needle stuck in you is a boo boo too much?

And the entire rant about the reproductive organs, comes from a hoax from a guy called A. Wakefield who has been spreading them about any given vaccination. He's a fraud, and has been exposed ever since his study about measles, mumps, and rubella ended up in the Lancet in 1998!!!! He is still at it and is telling the same hoax about the covid vaccination. You people just like to hear what he has to say and so that quack keeps getting a stage to promote his nonsense. That's all there is. And it's all fine and all of that, that you adore him like a messias, but I am not going to waste my time on convincing you lot. I'm that one that finds it mildly amusing a person without a masks gets kicked out of a story, or that a person fanatically being anti-vax ends up in the ICU with covid.

I said, and I repeat: None of them advocated any political party.

That point is factually correct. Those protests/riots were not about politics. Jan-6 was 100% about a political party/politician, as are the comments from 30% of Republicans who say violence might be needed.

Do you not see the difference?

Yes. Our enemies use the social media to turn people against each other, and clearly Americans are easily manipulated.

No, I do not buy into the conspiracies and I do not advocate the idea that we need violence to "save" America from an non-existing threat.

There is freedom in NOT having your mind controlled by irrational fear.

When I said "Americans are easily manipulated", I don't mean everyone, but many.

I think it’s a mistake to assume others make decisions because they’re misled. I try to give people credit for having good reasons for what they believe, even if I disagree with them.

People in this country will believe just about anything, and they continue to believe it even after decades of being wrong. In the 1950s people wee told we are becoming communist, and after 70 years of nothing of the sort happening, people still believe it.

When Obama won in 2008 Glenn Beck and others had people believing in the most ridiculous conspiracies, and they raved about them non-stop in the social media. They poured their money into guns, ammo and canned foods and waited for it all to happen.

    - Muslim takeover
    - FEMA concentration camps where Republicans will be take
    - Reeducation programs
    - Food riots
    - Guns taken away
    - City people raiding farms
    - Nuclear terrorist attack
    - World war
    - Communism
    - Hyper inflation
    - Stock market sinking below 1000 points
    - 30% unemployment
    - Economic depression
    - 50% tax rates
    - Civil war
    - Brown shirt armies
    - Voting rights taken away
    - 401K confiscation
    - Private property confiscation
    - Etc etc.....

Save your list and check it in 10 years. Just because change didn't happen yesterday doesn't mean it' isn't in the works.

You are clearly one of the few free thinkers left in America - an 8 percenter. ;-)

"Sixty-four percent of New Hampshire Democratic voters would rather see “a giant meteor strike the Earth, extinguishing all human life” than see President Trump re-elected, according to a new poll from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

Somewhat surprisingly, 28 percent of conservatives joined the majority of Democrats on wiping out all of mankind rather than dealing with another four years of Trump. And to no one’s surprise, 68 percent of women polled, more than any other group, would welcome a fireball of death over the president remaining in the White House."

That doesn’t change anything anything I’ve said. Most of my black friends are liberals, many of our views or different...I never assume it’s because they’re misled. Same is true of my white liberal friends, even though they sound pretty crazy to me sometimes.

Its been 13 years since 2008, sooooo.........

The things in that list were supposed to happen because Obama won in 2008, but none of it happened, but if you say it's going to happen if we wait another 10 years, then you just proved my point about people continuing to believe stuff even after being wrong for a long time

The DP is the "peace and love" party. ;-)

"Steyer "So if the answer is that we need those three things to happen for a course correction, I'd prefer to move a little quicker. How about that? But I take your point. Maybe we can have, like, a nuclear war and then we get a real course correction."

    RS "Wow – that's...sobering."

Save them from what exactly? Maybe we just need to send all of them to Europe for a nice three month holiday where they live like the typical European and get a chance to see just how wonderful that type of socialism is as it is practiced in every single Western nation but ours. You want a doctor? No problem, go to the hospital and you get cared for without a bill. You want pre-school? Go to a creche and watch little children get treated well in free pre-school. You want mass transit? Take a fast train to a metro underground. You want beautiful towns and cities? Take a look at how little towns preserve their lifestyles and protect their architectural heritage. You want vacations? Take the month off, your job will be here when you return. The list goes on and on and on. But because we have this bizarre notion that Hobbesian hell is better than any other system, we can't have nice things.
