Shelling of Ukrainian cities is amazingly accurate. You see if Ukrainians are going to defend their
cities they should do it out in open fields somewhere.
It's not just rockets, there are people with rifles, Molotov cocktails etc.. This makes the whole city
a target. Every Ukrainian who defends his city or country is a fascist. This is why whole cities will
come down, fired upon from a distance with heavy artillary - like Aleppo and Grozny.

Only this time the whole world takes an interest in what Putin is doing - and are responding in kind.

Yeah, all of NATO is fascist. So says Putin, the guy who murders his opponents and shuts down free speech.
Somehow England, France, Poland, Germany etc are all fascist. This is known as 'gas lighting.'

Odd that Ukrainians would fire missiles from a fuel storage area in Liviv. Think about it.

Think about what? Your nonsensical conflations?

Of course it makes sense militarily to strike your opponents fuel supply. Has nothing to do with missiles.

And it 'makes sense militarily' to terrorize the population and force them to flee or surrender.
Forget missiles, this is happening even in little villages.

If an opposing army is located in a small town, a small village and it's firing on your forces it's only natural that your forces will respond which inevitably leads to carnage, deaths, destruction etc...and ordinary people, regardless of their nationalities leave in order to save themselves. Anyway, do you view all humans as equal? If so, then explain to us the situation in Yemen. Cheers.

Originally the goal was to “de-nazi” Ukraine which was code for “install puppet government”. Basically, the objective was total
annexation. We know this because Russia didn’t just invade the Donbas region- it invaded the entire country from every direction.

Now suddenly Russia Today is reporting the goal was only ever to capture to Donbas border region. Now Russia can abandon
the war and Putin can falsely claim that they achieved their objectives to save face.

I never thought I’d see this but Russia is about to lose this war.

Just read what you wrote. Stupid, isn't it? How can anyone annex the country three times bigger than the UK or twice the size of Germany with 150,000 troops? The Russian goal was always the same. Make sure that the areas with the predominantly Russian population are safe from abuse and terror. There is an official document signed by both sides. It's called The Minsk Agreements. The Ukrainians failed to keep their part of the bargain under the pressure from Washington DC. I am surprised that the Russians actually believed that Germany and France will make Ukraine adhere to the agreement. They were supposed to make sure that the agreement is implemented. What happened in the reality, the USA/UK started training the Ukrainian army. The deliveries of deadly weapons and equipment increased dramatically since 2015. Ukraine was well prepared for the war.

As a result of this conflict, which Ukrainians could have easily avoided, they are going to lose a large chunk of their country. The whole Donbas plus access to Azov Sea. They will be given Odessa. The border will be drawn and the country split like Germany used to be.

Given? How 'generous' of Russia. One month into its attack and the 'great bear' hasn't achieved a single one of its pre-war objectives. And Ukraine isn't going to give up one square meter of it's territory without a fight. Meanwhile the West can keep arming and funding Ukraine indefinitely, the combined weight of the US and EU economy's alone is more than 20 times the size of Russia's. And most other western nations are piling in on top of that to contribute. Combined? They can afford to arm and equip Ukraine indefinitely with small change.

Meanwhile the clock is ticking. In two to six months sanctions will see the Russian economy start to nose dive. It cant replenish 5% of its current high tech weapon systems without western components and most of it's civilian manufacturing sector is equally reliant on critical western inputs. A year from now Russia won't even qualify for membership in the G20 (even if it was allowed to be a member) that's how much its economy is going to shrink. Putin has made a once great nation an international pariah - the worlds next North Korea. And its people will have similar lifestyles.

That's not my problem to think about. However is Russia affected economically or politically by this conflict is entirely their business. I'm more concerned how the USA and the UK elites mismanaged economies in recent years. I don't want this conflict to divert the attention from their abysmal failings.

The USA and UK economies at their worst are models of efficiency and wealth generation compared to Russia's corrupt oligarchy.

That's something for the Russians to think about. By the way, you don't have to be particularly intelligent to run the USA economy. Anyone can print the money. If the game had been played by the economic rules, the USA would've gone bust long time ago. Since the beginning of this millennium the quality of life in the western world is continuously deteriorating. And no one has been held accountable. Young people in the UK can only dream about buying a property.

    You're talking about income inequality..

If you just look at published stats, the USA is worse than Russia.

But Russia is as transparent as 10 feet of steel...

If you take a closer look, Russia has the worst income inequality in the world. It was fabulously corrupt before Putin. The Economist estimates that Putin added an extra 20% corruption to what they already had.

In any case, Russia will soon be in a full blown economic depression. The West won't be able to maintain sanctions for long. But that's not going to be much help to Russia, their economy is collapsing.

That money printing can only exist if the world uses the dollar as a reserve currency, and Vladimir Putin is destroying it - thanks to the stupidity of our government and our sanctions. Most of the world has waited years for Russia to take the initiative in that, because without that printing press we won't have the money to wage our continuous wars.

We're going to suffer the consequences and we can thank Washington for that.

    No panic ...

First of all US Senate shouldn't dare to compare itself with ancient Roman Senate.
US Senate is simply ridiculous. But it's American ... so ... it's obvious it's ridiculous.

What's happening now is that EU countries [also Italy] are buying or renting plants for the gasification of liquid gas.
Why? Because a lot of natural gas is going to come from US in liquid status. This is well less ridiculous: it's serious.

More we disengage from Russian natural gas, more we will be free from Russian influence.
It's not difficult to understand this.

Luke x just finished watching a “special” on pbs on Geothermal. It may be time for Europe to look into Geothermal in a big way - especially Italy. Your “hot rock” zones a are pretty near the surface. Get it right and Italy could power Europe

What appears very difficult for you to understand is that we are going to have to pay more for the US liquid gas which will result in higher prices across the board. I don't see how lowering the living standards in Europe benefit Europe.

Qatar has said it will not be able to overshadow Russia in gas supplies to the EU.
And it will never be able to ..... However .... If you switch to bicycles and horse-drawn vehicles, and in industry you return to the time of Cesare Borgia, you can refuse Russian gas.

And here is some news from the war front:

After the loss of the city of Slavutic north of Kiev, and the beating and dissolution of the 35 thousand strong neo Nazi Azov Battalion, Kiev announced they are stopping
regular operations of its armed forces and are adopting guerrilla warfare tactics.

The Russians have captured the commander of Azov in Mariupol as he tried to escape, and had to protect him from being lynched by the people because of all the atrocities he committed as he was being walked to be interrogated. The commander told the Russians that his unit no longer exists and that there are 2 small groups that are trying to escape from Mariupol. Also captured as he tried to escape Mariupol, was
the Deputy Commander of the 503rd Regiment of the Ukrainian Marines.

There are still pockets of Nazis in the city, but the city is secure enough so Russians are now able to distribute aid to the people, and to open a corridor so people can leave without fear of being shot at by Azov.

    You look at yourself.
But maybe you think Russians care about your opinion of them? Then you are even more blind, and even more.....
Russians don't care about your opinion.
Russians are getting out of dollar dependence in calculations and looking at them, other countries (China, India, Turkey, Saudis ... etc.) are also getting out of dollar dependence in calculations.
And what does this mean for you? For you, this means that billions of unsecured dollars will flow into the economy of your country. And consequently inflation in your country will not just be increased, but hyperinflation.
Have you read about the Weimars Republic? If not, then read it. Learn how to manage your bookkeeping.
This should worry you, but not what is happening in Ukraine, Somalia or Iraq.
