Jeebus christ, would you guys open your eyes and read the actual law, because it does NOT say that discussing race, or even that at times in the past some races were thought to be superior or inferior to others, or the motivations and actions taken based on those beliefs. It says you can't ENDORSE those beliefs. How would you like it if some klansman was in a classroom teaching that "them darkies are lesser "humans", if they're actually human at all, than us virtous white people"

This law prevents that, although like teaching gender identity to 4-year-olds, it's really something that shouldn't need to be said. But with the left's almost complete (and radical) takeover of public education in America, I guess it does need to be said, otherwise you get a class room of kids where the white ones are made to apologize to the black ones just for being white. And, yes, that actually happened.

We had legalized segregation until the 1970. We still have redlining.

CRT is the study of our history of laws and race, and how that has effected specific races.

We currently have laws on the books that punish Crack at a rate of 5x over cocaine.

Legalized segregation ended in 1964. Legal redlining ended in 1968. How ironic in a thread about the teaching of history that a person in favor of teaching racist ideals is themselves uneducated on ACTUAL history.

 

Even thought Johnson signed it into law in 1964, segregation was still enforced in the south and everyone knows it. With all due respect. Separate but equal was the law of the land in the south. Segregation was having a whites only public swimming pool, and then a blacks only swimming pool. That was legal and very prevalent in the 70’s.

There are many absurdities in the 1619 project but one of the main ones is that the revolutionary war was fought in defense of slavery.

A claim which is objectively and demonstrably false and is predicated on nothing more than the authors racial hate for America and it’s founders. A racial hatred which is evident throughout her writings.

The 1619 project has no business even near a non-fiction section in the library, much less taught to children as objective historical fact.

 

The idea that a white child is inherently privileged over a black child regardless of their background due to the systemic inequalities blacks have historically faced.

That’s what is fake.
