Nope, they did have choices, to have or not have an abortion, that is more freedom than what they now have according to what politicians say in the states they are in. Thomas mentioned under the argument used to overturn Roe v Wade gay marriage and contraception rights can be overturned and thrown back to the states. He failed to mention Loving v Virginia (inter-racial marriage) could also be thrown back to the states to legislate. I wonder why?
Yes, and now the other side is using the government to force their beliefs on others. The shoe is on the other foot, as it were.
Ah, more attempts to mock. I relish the pathetic attempts. If you want to get an abortion in the first 12 hours of pregnancy knock yourself out.
You missed the point. If you want to consider a fetus as a parasite you're right. You have the right to remove it, but then you also have to acknowledge that it's not part of your body. Plus a parasite has a life of its own.
Allow me to be the first to introduce you to the values of those who are being flooded across the border and rushed to voter status because the idea was that the less "white" people you had in America the more likely blue wins... https://www.lifenews.com/2019/08/16...life-want-all-or-most-abortions-made-illegal/
Wonder all you want. The only SC Justice that said anything about other issues being on the table for reconsideration was Thomas. You're being hyperbolic. Are you intentionally ignoring the other options women have to prevent getting pregnant?
You're right, and that's why the parasite analogy misses the mark. The truth is, while a fetus does resemble a parasite in some aspects, it is something separate from that.
Does a woman have the right to refuse the right to use her body to provide for another human being after it is born? The question comes down to what rights an unborn child has, as it is a separate and distinct life. These are interesting arguments, but that is not the problem. The problem is that abortion itself has become a form of birth control, and is a business based on killing them for cash flow. When all but about 50k abortions per year are entirely avoidable. Moreover, pregnancy is not a choice, it's a consequence of your choices.
Isn't it though? Just wait until progressives get faced with the values of Islamic culture regarding woman and gay rights...hooo boy! Diversity will be their strength that day, let me tell you!
That's like saying we should not allow the fire department to put out your house fire because you could have done things to prevent the house catching fire.
Before yesterday, I'd say it was a lock. Now, not so much. I think the GOP will still gain, but I think it's going to be a lot less than they would have before the Roe decision. Thomas's comments on what he wants to strike down next should not be underestimated as a motivational tool.
In this post I'm referring to "the left" that drives the agenda for purely ideological and strategic reasons. Common citizens who consider themselves leftists, and are not motivated by the overall goal of destroying the existing society - those people are followers who have been duped and really don't understand what is going on or how they are being used. There are essentially 3 more levels above them on "the left". 1. There are the lower level ideologues who understand that what they are doing is actively working to destroy the existing culture of the west. They are infantry with no resources of their own. They are activists who engage in street level actions and agitate against the existing culture. They usually belong to the usual leftist organizations and carry out assignments accordingly. 2. The managerial level above the infantry. These people are also ideologues, but are also motivated by profit and advancement. They interface with the money and political class above them. They run "non-profits" and NGO's which fund raise and are able to plug into public funding (tax dollars) to organize, advertise, and fund the activities of the activists and battlefront causes. They themselves are able reap the rewards of their connections. Black Lives Matter founder Patrisse Cullors is a good example. She is an avowed Marxist, but has been able to amass $millions by simply being connected to the money and power brokers above the managerial class. 3. This top level can be subdivided in two between The Establishment and the political/media class below them. The political and media class are obvious. Almost all are Democrats, but I would include all Establishment Republicans in here as well. People like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Shumer, and Maxine Waters are obvious, but less obvious are people like Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, Liz Cheney, the Bush family, etc. The Establishment above them are the Central Bankers and corporate fascists who operate above our society and outside of our laws. The Establishment has so successfully (from their perspective and referring to their goals) transformed America in the last 100 that they don't really need their visible front group, The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), to interface as a staging point for moving their people into and out of government. ------------------------------------------- So with that inadequate explanation of "the left", you can see that I am not referring to the dupes of the left, i.e. the common folk.
Sure, but that's all he could do. Making a decision based on the belief that those tasked with it will execute it in good faith does not mean the decision was bad.
Ok, I'll bite. What is it that makes a fetus a part of the woman's body. Prior to getting impregnated it didn't exist anywhere inside a woman. It's neither an organ, nor appendage of the woman's body. So, what is it that makes it part of the woman's body other than like a parasite it attached itself to the woman's body and is feeding off it. Go ahead and present your explanation of what it is.
Nearly half of the pro lifers are women which zero's out your ridiculous penis size theory. And the SC decision left the matter to the people of each state. It made slaves of no one, and is constitutionally harmonious as opposed to falsely claiming a right that doesn't exist. RvW has always been unconstitutional.
The Hispanic vote will stay red over this... https://www.lifenews.com/2019/08/16...life-want-all-or-most-abortions-made-illegal/
including the woman who started this all "Jane Roe" eventually had a daughter, placed her up for adoption and then because a HUGE advocate for prolife.
Also, I'd just like to say, the people who want abortion and the people who want mandatory covid injections for kids are the same people.
