    Some people really struggle with hypotheticals. I used the word 'if'. And yes, for example if there were Top Secret meetings involving Trump then Trump can still make that argument. People can't have it both ways that the President is just a title, but we'll charge Trump for his actions as President.

    This is one crucial point that will be litigated.

    Yes that’s exactly how it works. The police don’t start an investigation by telling the suspect what they are doing. They gather the evidence then bring charges.

    But in this case, it seems everyone knows this is about a breach of presidential records laws or secrecy laws. If he took Top Secret documents to his personal residence, that’s serious.

    Be patient.

    For some of us, the best scenario would be if both Trump and Biden were found to be truly and deeply guilty of enough high crimes to wipe them from the political scene. Their parties would also suffer enough to, hopefully, provoke voters to finally think.

    Did they have a warrant? And if they did what was named on the warrant?

    As i understand it, Trump is not being investigated for using personal email account...Ivanka should receive that attention.
    And no, Clinton and Trump do not share the same crime.
    He is being searched for possible theft of state documents.
    With his murky past, now he can prove he is the Messiah.

    When à president leaves office h/she is no longer any different in the eyes of the law from any other citizen.
    Like anyone else they are still liable for what they did while still in the job.

    Baloney. Hunters laptop will be ignored forever, Hillary was not investigated and Bill Clinton got away with rape. I doubt Biden will be investigated for his crimes as well.

    If course I don’t know what was in the warrant. What a ridiculous question. Nobody has made it public. Trump could make it public if he wanted to, but I’m sure he won’t because it will look bad for him.

    The only material difference is that HRC's was stashed on an email server, while Trump has physical copies. Is that REALLY a difference in the grand scheme of things? Given past precedence and the rather minuscule purpose the archives actually serve, they should've just fined Trump and got it over with.

    No - there are other differences. Huge differences. The biggest being that she, at the time, thought that her private account was only used for non-classified information. Some (a few) things were classified after the fact, but she was not aware of that at the time.
    If the reports are correct, he did two things that are potential crimes: removing presidential records and removing classified material.
