Eric said there was nothing in the safe? Not exactly someone high on my list of accurate raconteurs.

Got anyone else who says otherwise? Still no leak on if they found what they were looking for? Or even what they were looking for? Interesting.

Also what constitutional justification is the judge going to have for signing off on a raid to make sure he doesn’t destroy evidence when he’s not even there? And they KNOW he’s not there.

    Don’t worry. I’ll wait.

Thanks to all the guessers for all the bluster. The one thing we can say for sure is that it is a very bad look. It could have been handled better. I would recommend some government transparency. A lot of people are angry.

MAGAs are always angry no matter what.

You cry conspiracy at the slightest hint that Trump is being hit.

The reason a judge allowed this search was because the judiciary was certain that Trump would not comply with a subpoena.

    He's not above the law.

For Trump,of course, for most of us not stealing is easy.

    No, it couldn't.

Criminal investigations can't be transparent, that's goofy.

A lot of Americans are idiots.

I’m sorry. A judge does not have the authority to preemptively decide he’s not going to comply… furthermore and more importantly… he has a RIGHT to not comply and have that taken before court. A judge doesn’t have a right to sign off on a raid warrant because a person might use their right for judicial review to challenge a subpoena first lol

    That’s completely insane lol

The FBI is famous for never divulging such info, why would you think that would change now.

Maybe because no actual trained lawyer thinks that kind of argument has any merit? Because the argument only exists in the mind of some anonymous guy on the internet who came up with it out of thin air?

So you think all suspects should be subpoenaed before a search warrant is issued?

“We hereby subpoena you to hand over all guns and bloody clothes in your possession. If you fail to do so we will obtain a warrant to search your house in seven days.”

    Right.

The risk of destruction of evidence was too great.

Yes, they had a warrant. Only the judge and the FBI what was on it; which is as it should be.

I wonder if everyone on this thread who is now crying "banana republic" chanted "lock her up, lock her up.." in 2016. I'd wager the likelihood to be >95%.

No, they needed to retrieve these documents and Trump has refused for months to hand them over.

You gotta be kidding! He could have done it any day, but, being above the law, he just forgot to try.
