You don't understand or you don't want to understand.

If Trump had received a subpoena, the risk of destroying evidence would have been too great.

He got busted with having brought home 15 boxes with letters from like North Korea and other crap.
So who says these 15 boxes full of stuff is all he took? The guy who illegally took them can't be trusted.

What we have so far is the preface to a story. We'll have to wait for the next installment, the 'Chapter One'. I've no idea at this point how long the book will be twixt now and the epilog. Nor, in all probability, does anyone else at this juncture.

This poor old country mouse is content to sit in his ol' rocking chair and patiently await the unfolding of the tale.

Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n remember the Big 5.

PS. For those seeking amusement in the interim, the 'conservative' radio talk show hosts will be holding forth as they attempt to discredit the institutions of our democracy. Similar attempts may also be found in posts on forums such as this one.

We are witnessing an act that is unprecedented in the terms of it's political abuse, in the absence of scruples in a party in power- who thinks anything they can get away with is acceptable.
It's very clear that this raid has one purpose, and that is remove the threat of Donald Trump running again. The fear of that has fueled the will to take any risk, exceed any authority, to do so.
They perceive a great threat to their ambitions. Desperation has driven them to this new low in history. How could this work?

U.S. Code Title 18, Section 2071 states, "Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."

This is the potential way to achieve that goal. The level of covert control with which this raid was conducted insured nobody knows what they really took possession of... and we all know that if they find nothing, they will arrange to find something; and that would be incredibly easy, and impossible to disprove.

The huge offense here- the act that truly disqualifies people from fitness for office, that uses chicanery in our justice agencies for a political weapon, lies in the democratic leadership that contrived and executed this scheme.

The real question it creates is if any citizen wants to trust their nation and their future to people who are willing to abandon all integrity, all honor-
to destroy what they fear with corruption, oppression and persecution rather than take any risk of losing power.

I don't think Trump planned to run, and I don't think he should. I think he was keeping his political image strong and sustained, because that is the power to influence the trends of politics- and thus, the course of the nation. Had he not done so, the planned destruction of the American dream and it's freedom would continue, be steamrolled by the policies of the left. What they have really done here is to prove once again that there is no moral compass for them, no limit to the corruption they will use to control this nation.... And that is a challenge to every American who values freedom, justice and independence.

Such a thing is a high risk move that could easily backfire- and cost them dearly, because any citizen that sees the real motives here also sees the true nature of those who contrived the scheme. They think we are dumb enough, gullible enough that we won't. I think they are wrong. If I'm wrong- America is in grave danger.

They will go as far as we allow them too. Anything the people will stand for, they will do. How long will we tolerate this, how far will we allow it to go?

So... Merrick Garland thrashes around, attacks his political enemies. What kind of a precedent do you suppose that enshrines? The rage of democrats as they foolishly attempt to do anything to distract folks from the wreck of an economy their BS is destroying... Look, over there.. shiny object.

January isn't far away. The term prosecutorial misconduct seems to apply here. And of course, you cheer away...

To create a dictatorship, you need to make enough laws to make a criminal out of everyone and then selectively prosecute. We are seeing this happen in real time.

No, you're mistaken. In the previous elections I gave him 100% support. After he whined about his loss in the last one I started looking elsewhere. Now I'll pick him (he will run) just to stick it to the Democrats. But this all depends on what happens in the Midterms (and after). If the Republicans fail to sweep both chambers of Congress (or sit on their asses after winning) it won't matter if Trump is still in the game. The Democrats will definitely rig it against him and/or do a repeat of when he was the POTUS.

Perhaps it is relevant to remind folks how the FBI abused it's authority vis a vis Carter Page...

Trump put his man in charge of the FBI.

If Clinton had committed a crime, she would have been charged.

The crime? Left the party.. Attacked the bureaucracy state. One wonders just exactly democrats believe in anymore, except for their own power. The corruption of democrats these days is obvious for all to see. Just ask why Paul Pelosi JR went to Asia with his mom.... Reminds one of the Hunter episodes...

Sounds like the reason was the fact that Trump stole Top Secret documents when he left, and probably during the 4 yrs he was in WH.

Nice try. Perhaps instead of floating a turd like this, you would provide a citation.. oh wait, there wasn't one. But you clapping for this attack on political enemies? Is this the method of choice for say both parties going forward, or do you just reserve this level of corruption for yourself and democrats?
