So all the documents, and knick-knacks, and letters, copies of emails, and even furniture that you can find in literally any Presidential Library constitutes a felony? I've only been to one (LBJs, because I was in Austin on a business trip with some time to kill before my flight home) even had all of his Oval Office furniture in a mock-up Oval, probably the closest I'll ever come to setting foot in the real one.

That "reasonable doubt" is a measure of certainty needed in an actual trial.

It's not a measure of whether the government should retrieve national security documents in someone's home.

We're not at the trial stage ... yet.

It’s fascinating the people that cannot comprehend that there is a legal process to declassify documents. trump simply saying so doesn’t meet that bar.

I can see why they get such joy out of trolling the libs — watching the freak out is so completely enjoyable. Let them have their flags and bumper sticker slogans and I will settle with massive legal victories.

Two men were acquitted and two men are facing a retrial. The Gretchen Wilmer Kidnapping Plot trial was mostly a circumstantial trial with people of the same militia group being on both sides of the defense and prosecution. From what I read in the trial transcripts, and public record BTW is that the defense created enough reasonable doubt when cross-examining certain witnesses, namely witnesses on the Prosecution list who are not the ones you want your daughter to date sort of thing. The two men who were not acquitted and on a hung jury were Adam Fox and Barry Croft. The other two, Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta were acquitted or found not guilty. Six people were arrested in total, Fox, Croft, Harris, Caserta, Ty Garbin who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to kidnapping, and Kaleb Franks who turned in state's evidence and was not charged.

But, the retrieval of national security documents from an insecure site isn't something that is or should be subject to a trial.

There was a subpoena. That was ignored. It didn't have to reach this point.

The FBI agents were in the house, alone and unobserved. We've already seen what the FBI is capable of, when they want to destroy an American citizen.

Got anything else? In your last statement, you reiterated my point for me. If they put Trump on trial, Trump is innocent until proven guilty.
Familiarize yourself with our system of justice, please.

 

And to think, Obama and the Democrats wanted to put Garland on our Supreme Court.
