Ex-presidents are allow to retain certain documents - Obama has some, same with Clinton and Carter. They are provided with appropriate storage, including a SCIF for storing classified data.

First, the national security documents have to be retrieved. The FBI had multiple sources saying where they were. There was a subpoena. That was ignored. So, the next step is to retrieve the documents.

Whether there are charges is something that comes AFTER that.

 

Garland right now is following the rule of law per the DOJ and that shows more character than you can ever dream of.

The FBI retrieved documents that no ex president is allowed to keep - especially at a party venue.

It would have taken less time if Trump had honored the subpoena.

If this is all they have on him it's no big deal. The documents were far better secured than Clinton's and she was still eligible to run for president. They need to do better than this to stop him from running again. If this is all they have on him then the DA and the FBI Director have some serious explaining to do.

No crime for Clinton and no crime here for Trump. At least he had his classified information at his home guarded by the SS. Clinton's was on a private server for anyone to hack. Trump can run again if this is all they have. Move on.

 

They're going to put him on trial for something Clinton failed to do. Keep and secure classified information.

Since Trump ignore the national security guidelines when he was president and when he left the WH, and you will support him no matter what evidence is thrown out there, you are therefore an accomplice to ignoring the national security concerns right now. Everyone should be appalled at the documents in his Mar A Lago home. This is a no brainer. You either have them or not. Conspiracy theories are just that, theories, not based on evidence or facts. Just innuendo, hearsay, and a lot of wishful thinking.

The other fact is the warrant is valid and nothing illegal about the warrant is evident within the warrant itself. This was a classic, by the book, application, presentation, and approval of a proper search warrant.

When all of this came out about the FBI search warrant at Mar a Lago, what was the GOP and conservative media host's first response? The search warrant was invalid, it is politicized, Trump does not have these documents, FBI not following the law, calling it a raid, calling it a seige, and so forth. You guys threw out as much dung on the wall to see what stuck. It appears none of it. Then Garland made the decision to make public the search warrant, which negated most of the GOP rhetoric on the FBI. Then more dung came out, such as they were already declassified, And now that the details are in, what Trump had, why it was done and so forth, you are now begging, pleading, etc for all of us to ignore this, as you said?

In February he allowed the FBI to take something between 11 and 15 boxes of stuff he wasn't supposed to have.

BUT, at no time did Trump admit to having what was taken this time around.

I think you're getting confused by the number of times Trump has scoffed at US law.

Now, he's whining his various lies about Obama, etc.

She told Comey it was approved when the IG specifically stated in his report she didn't get ask for authorization because it would have been denied. She also told Comey no one ever told her it was unauthorized when in fact it was mentioned several times in the IG's report she was told she couldn't use her personal phone full time to conduct business or use her private email account.

 

There were 38 people arrested, charged, and pleaded guilty in the Clinton Email server. However, even the GOP led committees did not find Clinton culpable on such things, It was all the subordinates.
