You can believe his “I-declassified-everything-before-I-left-the-White-House-but-didn’t-mention-it-to-anyone-until-I-got-caught” defense but no rational people accept it.

YES, the POTUS can declassify a document, but he has to follow a process.

He cannot just stand over the NSA and say “ I declassify everything”….it doesn’t work like that and you know it. If he declassifies something, the other agencies in the government need to know that and you know it.

 

Sorry.......that does not answer WHY he took them , kept them at his resort ( insecure )......and why did he use delay tactics instead of returning them when they were asked for/?? ..until it blew up with a search warrant.?? He created his won problems......and yet is playing he victim......

Yet a warrant stating all papers from January of 2017 through January of 2021 particularly describes items to be seized?
Or maybe an box in the vicinity of any other box marked classified particularly describes items to be seized?

I'm really confused as to why our fellow posters don't get why it bothers us about the double standards the democrats have. The FBI provided a subpoena, came to the property, reviewed the documents on location, and took what they wanted in June
THey also certified to the FBI that no classified documents were on location
The FBI claims the requested the attorneys to add additional locks to secure the documents they left.
Thats not even in dispute by the FBI but you knowingly lie about it?

So, you claim Trump has documents he isn't entitled too
But you have no clue what documents they took

You claim the documents were unsecure
Yet the FBI claims they asked for additional locks which were provided

The only people making such unfounded claims are the ones who are desperate because the truth doesn't work for them.

 

Seems the only duping was the left getting caught falsifying thousands of criminal claims they can't back up with a single indictment after hundreds of investigations and 6 years to do it in.

It's acknowledged even by them that there is a potential for it to be abused. Who is accountable for making sure it's not if those up the food chain are the ones abusing it?
