Today in Jackson - 68 currently w/ light rain, supposed to reach 76 this afternoon. Heading to Minneapolis later today - tomorrow, high of 38, low of 27. Guess it's time to get the winter coat out...
Well anytime I can rake leaves in shorts and a tee shirt in November Id say its pretty freaking great.
Winter has officially arrived -- well, I just mean "cold weather". I've put the heating system on today for the first time and the centre of town has already been decorated with Christmas lights...
I hate snow... 1° Rail traffic goes bonkers with delays up to 45 minutes 2° Can't take your bike to the train station 3° Can't take the bus or tram to the train station since they are delayed too 4° Last year my bicycle broke down because it was so cold -- the pedal broke down. 5° When the snow clears up it becomes one big messy affaire: a mix of mud, snow, ice,... I HATE SNOW! I hope it stays away this year... I always end up taking my bicycle anyways, which is a very courageous act if I may so, and it one of the most stressy things I ever have to go through. I'm serious about that btw.
Well we now have a rather large storm system that is now starting to move into our area over the next three days and drop a rather significant amount of snow on us. And I just got my driveway all cleaned off to. Living up in the mountains as I do, I am used to snow. Don't care for it, but I am used to it. So it is either move or shovel. And at my age moving would be a bit to much so I stay and shovel.
Today is around 27 degrees. Starting to really warm up for summer. Its staying warmer later at night now, and getting warmer earlier, usually around 9am it starts to heat up.
They say we have a super warm November, temperatures above average for this time of year, which I seriously doubt . Here, in Fahrenheit... Belgrade, right now-Fog, 37°F (~3 degree Celsius) Wind:NW at 3 mph.
Right now it is 12 degrees. That cold front is supposed to set in later on tonight bring snow with it, well I got the shovel and snowblower ready so let it come.
Only rough thing about FLA weather? The humidity... It is a week before Thanksgiving, and the concrete is sweating outside... And it was about 75 degrees when I went to PT about 6:30 this morning... I don't mind, just pointing out that it's hot & humid...
I live in San Diego, CA. The weather is always perfect here lol. Actually it rained a few days ago and may rain again a day this weekend. Besides that.....Usually 60 and sunny.
I doubt seriously if you would want to trade...all things considered. We had tornado warnings today. We have two tornado seasons. Tornado warnings make us kinda nervous here bouts.
It is meant to be rather warm today, probably close to 30 degrees. I hope so because I have a dress on, and I haven't worn a dress in years...
This morning, it was 84 degrees. Then I got on the plane from Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale airport and headed for Islip, MacArthur airport on Long Island. When I got off the plane, it was 47 degrees. I'm just up north for the holidays and will be heading back to my Florida place right after Christmas to spend the winter playing golf, swimming and generally enjoying the warm weather.
It's nice and warm here, but we are expecting one hell of a thunder storm later on. One of the major ones that will likely destroy a few homes and ruin a great number of vehicles. It will also knock the power out. Nice. I need my vaporiser to breathe at night and I won't have any power! Grr...hopefully the damage won't be too bad. Everything here is as secure as it can be, anyway.
So why not invest in a generator. And by the way it is snowing again here in Jackson. Supposed to get about 7 inches this time.
The storm never happened, seemed the forecasters were wrong, or the storm passed us by. It did rain quite heavily for about an hour, but other than that, we avoided the thunder and lightening which was predicted.
