~ MOD ALERT ~ http://frontrow.espn.go.com/2012/01...ebow-is-americas-favorite-active-pro-athlete/ I know leftists and bill Maher are going to hate this, but here it is, and that is pretty amazing, especially the company he is in.
And I just heard Boomer Esiason this morning saying the Christian vs. Rapist game was the highest-rated opening playoff game in 25 years! Congrats to Tim Tebow!
he uses his religion to make him a bigger celebrity than the other NFL players its disgusting the NFL should seperate church and football like the government seperates church and state, any christian poses like Tebow does should be banned on the field
How? many pro athletes pray on the sidelines or after they score a touchdown. I know of some baseball players who make the sign of the cross before every pitch is thrown to them....
"I am a devout Christian. "I pray to Jesus every night and try to go to church as much as I can." -- Barack Obama http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ongoria-Obama-insists-I-pray-Jesus-night.html Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...insists-I-pray-Jesus-night.html#ixzz1jBqwBDdf
Nice generalizations. So the Broncos as a team represent Christians, while the Steelers represent Rapists? If you are just referring to Tim Tebow as the Christian, then who is the Rapist?
maybe it looks worst because he is white i dont know exactly, but the NFL should just ban all religious expressions on the field it has no place in football
Have to agree with that. And besides, that's already happened earlier this season. It's tough to expect the Broncos will go from getting their asses kicked by the Patriots to winning.
He's popular in Denver, and amongst Christian social tarditionalists who use him as proof God likes football........so who am I to poopoo him, so I won't!....
Alright, you are correct in your comparison, with one exception. Ben Roethlisberger is a Methodist. Not a completely logical statement on your part when relating the two quarterbacks.
OK, the Christian _______ versus the Methodist rapist Feel free to fill in the blank. Your correction is noted.
I'm an atheist, and I still find this ridiculous. The whole Tebow circus is kind of amusing, but I would never suggest that his employer should repress his expression of faith.
Methodism is a denomination of Protestantism, which is a denomination of Christianity. A better comparison would be the Christian Quarterback versus the Christian Quarterback accused of rape.
Tebow is fun to watch. I don't get what the big deal is though. I don't think many people realize that Tebow's style is very much like many of the throwback QBs from before the merger.....back when they didn't have million dollar contracts. In many ways, he's not a new sensation and is instead a throwback to a day that most people don't remember or know about.
No. He isn't doing it. It is the Christian-hating loony left-wing whacko extremist who are making him a celebrity. The more hate you spew towards the guy, the more he is like by the "normal" American people.
it is discrimination against other belief systems because they are in the minority, this guy could influence many little kids into becoming christians because their football hero is a christian sports and entertainment should be an exception to that rule, the average worker should be able to express their faith on company time but these rich guys are in the public eye and shouldn't be able to express their faith so openly as other faiths and belief systems would feel left out a general ban on expression of faith in football would be fair to everyone
