Yet the term "rapist" is not the right term to describe Roethlesberger. He was accused of rape, twice. Both times the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.
While I do not speak for anyone other than myself, I would venture to say most people really don't give a darn what Tebow does. I certainly don't. He is not attempting to legislating his version of morality. He throws a ball, poorly, for a living.
At any job that is how it works... Especially the Gov't job spot... You can't be lobbying at the water cooler and dropping to bended knee because the water is cold now can you?
Then I cannot consider the notion that Roethlesberger is guilty of rape as fact. The evidence for his innocence is in the decisions by the legal system.
I think it's an insult to God to assert that he intervenes in football games because one of the players prays all the time.
Professional sports are entertainment. Clearly, what Tebow is doing is helping to sell tickets. If religion sells, then why would his employer want to censor it?
How is this discrimination? I could care less if Tebow inspires certain kids to be Christian. I would think religion tends to come more from parental influences, but if some sports guy steers them in that direction, who am I to interfere? I wouldn't want to censor an atheist player that speaks out against religion. If someone feels "left out", that's their problem, not mine and not the NFL's. Your logic might apply better to government, but it has no relevance to the private sector.
atheists don't display their beliefs in public for all to see in such arrogance as tebow, with them being in the minority it would actually do harm to their public image actually than for a christian who has the majority of americans as christians backing them they don't make an upside down cross on their chest to show they are anti relgion or the majority of spectators and fans who are christian would boycott them tebow is using his fame to recruit more christians to the camp and its not fair because hes a celebrity and has an influence on young minds and there should be seperation of church and entertainment as there is seperation of church and state
Atheists can't display their beliefs in public because they don't believe in God, and don't pray. that is a stupid post. Its not fair? he can influence as many people as he likes to bring them to Christianity. liberals truly and really are the weak and beta-males among all of us. Not fair....sheesh, liberals are babies.
Well, even though I like to criticize religion, I have to admit that some atheists can be arrogant about it. The ones that purchase billboards are publicly displaying their distaste for religion, and there's nothing wrong with it even if it might offend some people. It works the other way as well. If someone wants to display their religion on the field, I don't see how that's a problem. Granted, people are free to criticize Tebow. Censoring him is going a bit far though.
Yep and they are not allowed to vote for Presidents because they are, well... stupid.... as meaning immature...
Tebow is a cash cow at the moment, expect a very close game where he eeks out a win... Yep, the fix is in...
Tebow is utterly hated by all the right people. It's a near perfect overlap with the Palin haters. I need know no more. Good luck in all pursuits.
I watched the game between the Steelers and Broncos. And like I said on other threads, as you confirm, Tebow is "fun to watch". The vast majority of teams have become dull, mundane and so dam predictable. Tebow just adds some good old fun and entertainment to the sport. I get tired of the same old 'wife beaters', 'gang bangers', 'rapists','dog murderers' and their ilk in the NFL that we fans lavish with adoration. Tebow's just plain refreshing...and I'm a life long Packers fan. Go T-Bow
