I responded to both and we had an excellent economy coming out of a recession with the Bush/Republican congress. 52 months of strong solid growth, full employment, soaring tax revenues and deficits down to a palty $161B. Then the Democrats won back the Congress and two years later the Presidency and we the worst economic times in decades if not modern history. Thankfully starting in 2010 the Republicans began to take back power with the House and then the Senate in 2015 and the Trump with the Presidency. The Democrats took back the House now and will stop any more policy by Trump and every candidate they have running want us to go back to those failed Democrat policies starting in 2007 when they took back the Congress.

The amazing thing about your criticism of Bush as it was when he ran for reelection was is you are blaming him for not stopping your guys from doing what you would have wanted. If he HAD stopped the Democrats, shutdown government until they came up with the spending cuts would you have supported him? Remember it was the Democrats who reneged on the budget deal and then blamed Bush for giving them their tax increases.
