This goes without saying. It used to be kings and queens and now we have oligarch families without slightest limits which existed for the Royal families. But it doesn't have to do with the people. As far as I remember Afrikaners were the first people to enter a model death camp and Boers won the war making the invaders off their country. Had you actually bothered to EDUCATE yourself you would have discovered that the bill only passed by 241 votes in the South African Parliament. It requires 267 votes to AMEND the South African Constitution.

So if the ANC ever attempt to implement that bill they will be STOPPED by the Courts UPHOLDING the Constitution.

Farming technologies are different. If you want to farm the same land without crop rotation or chemical application you will have the land depleted in 3-5 years with yields around the amount seeded. So the ancient farmers used to change their land having no constant fields for yearly tillages.

As for the population of America (I am sorry not to know about the south African of those times) they were not even farmers but they were hunters. The hunters need the forest or bushes to get closer to the prey and to shoot it. The farmers changed the landscape thus 'forcing' the natives away. I am sure there were bloody battles between colonists and natives (as well as between different tribes of the natives). But I won't blame the people. The henocide of natives was not the aim of colonists, it was the aim of those who sent them to a far away land.

Yes, the British did invent the concept of the Concentration Camp just as the boers invented the concept of the Commandos. The boers did take a bloody toll on the British in the first boer war and it was then that the British adapted their uniforms from red to khaki and subsequently beat the boers in the 2nd and final war. The British were brutal and used a policy of "scorched earth" in order to deny the boers the supplies they needed. The loss of life was shocking but the British prevailed and ruled over South Africa until it gained it's independence in the 1960's as I recall. Shortly thereafter the boers introduced the racist Apartheid regime that will in infamy. FTR the boers also supported the Nazis in WW2 and many of them were imprisoned by the British in WW2 but not in concentration camps.

Been fascinating reading up on all this history and finding the parallels to American history.

If the logycs is that killin people of different color skin is good and thus killing the whites is fine in 2018 as long as their ancestors 200 years ago killed lots of the blacks - then make sure you won't complain in 2038 when some white race state decides to perform henocide of all the blacks because of their crimes in 2018...

From what I have gathered in my research the local black tribes in Africa primarily farmed cattle and had small vegetable gardens prior to the invasion of the Dutch (boer) settlers. Cattle was considered to be a form of wealth so there was intertribal warfare for ownership of the cattle rather than the land itself.

Apartheid regime was and is bad. And the boers made their choices wrong basing it on their attitude to the brits... This is history. It teaches not the facts but systemic lessons. A fact doesn't teach you anything. But if you have a look to what happened to naturally white inhabitants of South Africa in their clash with colonial power you will notice that the color of the skin doesn't really matter. What does matter is if the country has peace inside of it or not.

The Indians could unite against the colonists long before they did it. But they couldn't do so because of their mutual wars of old times which I don't remember at all. I just know the fact that there is no state of theirs, that they lost. I don't know which exactly tribe started the feud. It no longer matters...
