“Bros,” billed as an all gay comedy, is a box office disaster.

From what I know of it, yes I would.

I did not see it. And that was why I didn't see it.

I did watch and like a British mini series about Quentin Crisp.

It's the perceived attitude that we're woke and we're better than you are.

    I've never heard of it.

Jeffrey Dahlmer series was promoted as LGBT movie, but they were told to not categorize it as such because its a seriously disturbing story and really not about gays, even thought most of his victims were gay and black.

I would call it a very good movie about gay people. Other than Nathan Lane, not sure any of the other stars were gay

We just rewatched it a few weeks ago as our son had never seen it. He enjoyed it

I don't think it's the gay theme that hurt the movie because brokeback mountain did 176 million. I heard about it on another forum like this and I watched the trailer and it looks tedious and I'm a gay guy.

Broke back mountain made 176 million so I'm not sure that's exactly true. Perhaps it's the lack of advertisement perhaps it's because these days people know it's going to be preachy.

I never saw Frozen too I didn't know that such a thing existed. But I didn't see anything about women's empowerment there if anything it seemed to be about raining in power but the bigger message was love between sisters.

I don't know about that brokeback mountain outperformed Noah (decent movie), heaven is for real and I can Only imagine. So I think it depends on who they are whether the audience wants to see about it or not.

I don't think so I have a lot of ways to describe brokeback mountain but woke wouldn't be one of them.

No brokeback mountain was basically the first major picture of its kind with any kind of hype to it. It was seen basically as a novelty. Thats why their gay movies have performed like ass (pun intended) since then.

No it wasn't really the first motion picture of its time that story has been told thousands of times dating back centuries so the only difference was it's two men.

I don't think novelty carried it to 176 million dollars.

I didn’t see Broke Back. The last movie I went was to see American Sniper. Before that it was to see that Anjolina Jolie movie about her missing kid. The last movie I watched at home was Basic Instinct a few months ago.

I don’t like modern movies, but I heard that Top Gun movie was good and not politically correct, so I’ll watch it when it comes on TV. I don’t mind gay characters if they’re pivotal to the plot as it probably is in the Dahmer movie (it’s the only movie I can think of at this moment) but to throw in gays, Catholics or whatever in a movie because of their identity is not up my alley. I still think The Usual Suspects is one of the best movies of all time even though Spacey was in it, same thing with Ice Station Zebra that had Rock Hudson. I also own all of Elton John’s older music, and his stuff was about the music and not his sexuality. I don’t know if I’m making sense or not.

I saw the movie Doubt, it features a priest and a nun, but being priests and nuns was crucial to the plot and not about being a priest or nun.

If I was a Hollywood movie maker, I would not make movies that many people might not want to see, why limit the money I can make by cutting off certain people? Plus, I’ve heard Hollywood edits movies to please the censors in China, and I’m guess this Bro movie won’t been seen by that giant audience.

Pretty sure Call Me by Your Name was pretty successful. But thanks for letting us know where your mind really is.

    Never saw it.
But then, I'm not hugely into film.

The ones I like most, are usually full of ideas; or else funny. For example: Fight Club; Identity; The Beguiled (original version, of course); The Graduate; The Planet of the Apes (original); Rosemary's Baby; Groundhog Day; The Man Who Knew Too Little; Catch-22.

One much more unassuming film, geared toward teens, that I still can watch & enjoy, is called Three O'clock Eye. Not a whole lot of nudity, in that list; but to be clear, I do like the look of a topless woman.

I watched brokeback mountain on streaming with enough female friends told me it was good it was not it was boring you're not missing anything. I think the primary audience for brokeback mountain was women only people I've ever met that said they liked it. It's just sadness.

The last movie I went to the theater to see what's clash of the Titans remake it was pretty good. But nothing since then interested me this genre of the movie I like doesn't seem to exist anymore.

I prefer action adventure primarily and everything that's in that realm is superhero crap and I've had enough of that. I like comedies I haven't seen or heard about any of those in years. And I like good horror they don't make that anymore either.

I get what you're trying to say you're trying to say you don't take issue with gay people and entertainment and you just don't want to hear about their sex lives I respect that.

I saw doubt too it was boring.

Hollywood movie Makers unlimited by the so-called talent graduating School I think they're focusing too much on graduates. Writing is a skill not an education. Any movie can be good as long as it's well written it doesn't matter if it's action adventure or drama or suspense or comedy as long as you're making compelling characters or telling compelling story.

People who right now don't have this skill they think they bought it by going to college and sitting through classes but that's not how it works.

90% of bad entertainment that I see is all down to writing.

With this movie Bros I don't know who the audience is supposed to be. I don't think it's your average gay man because the average gay man wants to see sexy guys. They are in this movie but it's not the primary content. The main character is a bit dweebie and probably not by anyone would call sexy.

I don't think it's necessarily for women either as that tends to be the biggest audience of movies with gay themes. Because of the raunchy sex stuff. I find myself put off by that on a movie I want to see sex I'll watch pornography.

It did 41 million with a budget of 5 million so it was somewhat successful.

I found it rather boring and the dialogue was terrible. But the scenery was beautiful. I think that's what led do it success why people liked it.

Love Simon did better, I thought that was a better movie.
