Well, I was intentionally leaving out the obvious, the underspecified UN announcement from last month that made the denialists heads explode. Yes, folks, pollution is a bad thing. Who would have guessed?

 

Both. It was once a giant snowball called "Snowball Earth". It was once so hot that there were subtropical trees in Wyoming (I saw a petrified tree that was millions of years old). But, these shifts normally take thousands of years.

Most climate scientists attribute the sudden spike in temperature in the past 100 years to human intervention.

 

There is no evidence in the ice core record to support that these shifts occur slowly.

I never claimed to be a scientist. I leave science to the scientists, of 97% of them concur the climate change is real and man-made. I hope you're getting paid by the petroleum industry for pushing their agenda.

Everything in the OP has been debunked and disproven, all that is required is for someone to do a few internet searches and the refutations are readily available.

The "97%" claim is the most laughable, but all of the claims in the OP are nonsense. We've been cooling since 2002; "extreme weather events" are down; sea level rise is not accelerating; Arctic sea ice is 59% greater this year than this time last year, and Antarctic sea ice has been expanding for years; on and on...

There's a reason alarmist "scientists" (they aren't scientists at all really - they are snake oil salesmen with an agenda) won't debate an actual scientist - the reason is they have no facts they can use in the debate. All of the facts reside on the skeptic side of the ledger.

We all have a stake in accurate and truthful science. In the case of AGW, the false science is being used to harm our economy, increase energy prices, attack property rights, regulate citizen activity, raid the treasury in the name of all things green, etc.

Those are your rights that are being attacked too. That is your money that is being misappropriated. Do you really like getting monster utility bills?? Paying excessive prices at the pump?? All in the name of a dubious boondoggle??

True science is about testing hypotheses and working vigorously to falsify them. The emperical data refutes the leftist claims that CO2 is a driver of climate. Since we are now cooling, it will become ever more difficult for the alarmists to keep the lie alive - it is why they had to switch from global warming to "climate change" and "extreme weather events".

A good many scientists are now predicting that we will be cooling for at least the next 10-15 years. At what point would you be willing to admit that the emperical data does not fit the narrative?? If we continue to see declining temps, will that be enough for you to abandon the theory and admit that the alarmists were wrong??

 

It won't for true believers. Previously it was thought if warming stopped for 15 years, there was a problem with the models, since it has been 15 years of no significant warming, they have moved the goal post to 30 years. It is hard to stop a moving train and when you have such a significant investment and reputations on the line, it will not just naturally yield to common sense.
