the more I think about the more impressive this is, I'd rate this as possibly the greatest physical/athletic feat ever accomplished by anyone....a marathon at 100!..

Let's not get carried away. I mean at the pace he set for himself, any 100 year old that can walk slowly could match his time.

ya how many 100 year olds do you know can even make it around a city block? how many 100 year olds have you met that are not in a wheel chair?...most people half his age would find walking a marathon more than they could do...take a moment and put this into perspective this a tremendous accomplishment...my mother is a 101, my grandmother lived to 102 both of them according to MDs were medical exceptions of health, a few live longer but no one has matched the feat that this 100 yr old has...

I'm half this guys age & I just recently finished my 7th marathon. I give props to anybody at any age who does one, but I know how my legs felt & I can't imagine how they'll feel 50 years from now. A big congrats to this guy!

What a dumb way to spend 8 hours.

It was probably the most exciting thing he's done in 40 years. You know how old people are - days consist of Leave It To Beaver reruns and assuring younger folk that his generation was in fact the best generation.

I think the same when people play golf or go to a double header ball game...whatever excites you...
