I think that EVERYBODY who has ever held a security clearance of any level should get it back as soon as Brennon does. After all fair is fair.

AND while we're at it, disregard all those debriefings we had to go through. Shitt, I need to make me some money working for the MSM...

If you are no longer actively employed you shouldn't have ANY clearance at all. If anything this exposes one of the reasons we have so many leaks domestic and otherwise. We have a bunch of retirees sitting around apparently reading classified info with no oversight. This needs to stop immediately.

The swamp is fighting back, I see.

No need to read that stupid letter. They are simply afraid that they'll lose their security clearances too as a matter of course, and that means they won't be able to work for companies that need employees with security clearances.

How it works is quite simple, really. Some company that has a contract with the government to manufacture the death star needs people with security clearance so they can get access to death star related technology. They would rather not pay to get that clearance for their employees so they hire people who already have that clearance. They got their security clearance paid for by tax payers.

So here we have lefties complaining about crony capitalism and private organizations not being able to make a profit off of tax payers.

Being cleared doesn't imply access. Calm down.

Yep. I miss my top secret security clearance and especially the opportunity to mutter, "Why in the hell is THIS classified? Anyone can go to a library and look the damn information up!" Good times . . . sigh . . . good times.

Then if they supposedly don't have access anyways what exactly is the problem with revoking them. They should ALL be revoked automatically upon termination of employment....period.

Lol...Actually, logic in general seems to confuse trump supporters. Only an idiot would conclude that keeping former intelligence agents, with decades of experience of how things actually work, out of the loop when dealing with current situations would not affect national security.
Ignorance may be bliss, but some point your hard-on for trump's growing kakistocracy is going to come back and bite you in the ass.

Anyone who a 'former' Cia or whatever should have their security clearance removed until or unless they have a specific need and then a temporary clearance should be offered. Having more people keep it than necessary decreases overall security.

Do you think those 175 still have unfettered access to all classified material at their leisure? What do you think are the circumstances where they are able to access all that material?

The same circumstances where their clearance could be restored or they could be given a temporary clearance.
