I'm praying for Cutler's slightly injured thumb

Yeah I know.....but for Chicagoans. Confidence is not high. Not unless we can get a QB that can read defenses.

Once in a while I tune into other games (usually teams the Pats will be playing), but I usually only watch the Patriots. I'm way too busy to watch ALL the games! :) I work nights too, so a lot of times I miss games unfortunately.

The Packer offense finally showed up yesterday and was winning at halftime 31 to 10. Then McCarthy went into complete prevent "everything" and barely won the game 34 to 27. Rodgers was 3 for 6 for 45 yards in the second half.. Why would McCarthy have such an extremely conservative game plan in the second half when the Pack scored on 6 of 7 possessions in the first half? Why go on cruise control when Rodgers and the offense were playing so well? I don't get it.. we could have scored 3 more td's in the second half? Was he afraid that Rodgers would throw 4 picks and blow the game?

:icon_jawdrop: wow I watched the first half and then went to another part of the bar to watch the other games because I thought that game was over

It was like 2 different games! My score for halftime is wrong, it was 31 to 10. We only scored 3 points in the second half after being on fire in the first half. I just don't get it. The lions didn't do anything different on defense, it was the packers who changed, nothing but running plays in the second half.. It's a mystery...

My philosophy is to never take your foot off the gas. Keep pounding the ball. Keep blitzing until you're 100% positive you won.

I agree! I can't see Belichik taking his foot off the gas, or Pete Carroll or any other big time coach. McCarthy does this on a regular basis and many Packer fans dislike him for that. We still won the game and that's what counts but it seems strange that he went THAT conservative in the second half against a team that has a good offense and the Packers were minus a few starters on defense. Boggles the mind.

That is what I call playing "not to lose", and I think it's a terrible idea (although it usually makes the game interesting). Sorta reminds me of when Carolina played Seattle in the NFC Divisional Round last year....my Panthers led 31-0 at halftime, then barely held on to win by a score of 31-24.

Yes, I remember that game.. Very similar. Playing not to lose is wrong, you're suppose to play a full 4 quarters of football right?

Hey, why didn't you guys beat the Vikings for me? Lol

    :bleh:

Because apparently some players thought "good enough" would work against the Vikings. VERY lackadaisical effort, and extremely disappointing that they did not take the chance to jump into the division lead with Tampa somehow losing to LA. At home.

Didn't think Carolina would start out 1 and 2. They need to get it together.. which I believe they will. :)

Exactly. If that were the Pats, Brady would still be passing with 08 seconds left and a 40 point lead.

What was that about the Panthers getting their crap together? :steamed:

Something is very wrong with this year's team. It's one thing to allow the occasional big play when you're in the quarterback's face all the time and not giving up any rushing yards, but not only can they not put any pressure on opposing QBs, their run defense in inconsistent and their DBs might as well not even be on the field (how about giving up 300 yards to ONE receiver in ONE game?). Not only that, their offensive line can't seem to block for s***, their QB can't throw accurately the few times he is well-protected, and their RBs don't have anywhere to run because the other phases of the offense suck.

At least we've got a good punter....

    Raiders 3-1 , enough said.

I don't even feel bad about that loss to the Falcons anymore, they are playing strong as hell right now.

    Raiders 3 and 1, Rams 3 and 1, Falcons 3 and 1.. didn't expect that.

    Patriots got spanked

    Panthers don't look right

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys are impressing me!!

Wentz and the Eagles are impressing me!!

    Packers will win it all!!

So the Panthers, who are already short on experience in the secondary, cut their only non-rookie starting CB after the Atlanta game.

I don't see why either, it's one game and even the best CB's have been worked before. Carolina is trying to lose now.

Ummmm have we forgot about how strong Minnesota has been on both sides of the ball? They are wreaking havok on everyone they play and Bradford is finally able to showcase his abilities since he actually has someone to throw too and a line that actually protects him.

The QB from the SEC will be too much for the Vikings on December 1

With Dak, the Cowboys will defeat the Vikings. If for some reason they put Romo back in, the Vikings will trounce them
