Which Democrat is going to give away the most free stuff to lower income voters?

I don't see it. If the economy stumbles even further, American voters will know who caused the stumble and they will know who continues to trip it up. Might as well just get used to "Madame President".

I know political assassination is a particularly rightwing thing to want to do, but wasn't Ford a target on a couple occasions and didn't Reagan take one for the team?

5 years of a crap economy. Obama owns it. He owns the war in Afghanistan as well.

Who knows, maybe the American Stasi will be ready to by 2016.

Why does anyone care about the election at this point? It's all BS. Theater. A show to keep people distracted and offer them false hope.

It will be an even sadder commentary on the democratic party if they nominate The Hildebeast! Vince Foster, Benghazi, and other crimes come to my mind.

GOP does not need to do much to win in 2016, Dems are doing a fine job of winning it for the GOP. I am losing count of the scandals now

Youth are eager to remain engaged in the political process and make history again. Which is bad news for the party of old white men.

So a candidate's gender is more important than their political stances?

This is a nice post, very likely, not biased.

Whether the '16 GOP nominee is Chris 'Big Boy' Christie, Mark 'The Rube' Rubio, or George 'Head Wound' Zimmerman, the foul stench that will rub off on him courtesy of the Party's congressional stinkers will be a formidable handicap.

No one who panders shamelessly to the TP berserkers will pass the sniff test of the American people.

Zimmerman is a Democrat. Maybe he'll fight Hillary for the nomination?

Head Wound is welcome to try, of course. As a TP darling, he'd certainly have cross-party appeal.

I don't know where you get the idea that he's a Tea Party darling. But Zimmerman has been a community organizer, and that has a proven track record in Democratic Party politics.

You've got to think outside the box.

It's too soon for a straw poll, but, with the dearth of possibilities, if Head Wound pulled a Reagan and switched parties, he'd have the TPs swarming to him like muscae domesticae 'round a Tennessee rustic facility in July.

The grass roots draft movement has already begun!

By thinking outside the box, you mean make stuff up.

I don't see the Tea Party supporting a Democrat community organizer. They've not supported one in the past. Wouldn't you rather support him if he wins the Democratic primary than a Republican?

Maybe a little creative thinking is what the GOP could use.

Megadoses of Viagra® would not have allowed the TPs to get up for McCain or Romney, nor is their ardor likely to increase for whatever the RNC pimps on them this time.

Why do you keep changing the subject? I'm trying to get an explanation from you on why you think Zimmerman is a Tea Party darling. Or do you just want to admit it was a dumb statement?

Do you really think Karl Rove and the GOP establishment will allow someone who is as extreme as Paul to gain the GOP nomination? What do you think he has pool thousands of dollars for? He is tired of losing the Senate over and over Of course if he allows Paul to be nominated, the GOP may be losing the WH over and over. I really think that Rubio or Christie givens the GOP a better chance. But one is championing the immigration bill and the other said Obama was doing a good job with Sandy.

    So go figure?

I mostly agree with this analysis, just wanted to add that unless the economy really tanks, the republicans would need a stroke of luck to win, unless they figure out a way to appeal to the rising latino and african american vote. Some think that Mr. Rubio is the answer to this, but he has conformed to the radical Republican message a few too many times for the minority vote to really go for him.
