    An assembly of people, another constitutional right, and by statute too. I am a people in lots of corporations and we people who own those corporations have a right to petition for redress and support political issues which effect that assembly of people.

    I think people know it did not mean arresting people and putting them in jail. It was whether they can legally marry.

    I think you are wrong and that generally people can understand “do you think homosexual relations between consenting adults should be legal” does not even remotely imply anything to do with marriage. If people were confused the two charts below would be identical, since they are not we can take the wording as meaning what the question asked.
    26% of voters, likely mostly republicans — believe homosexuality should be illegal.
    10% of voters don’t believe it should be illegal but believe same sex marriage should illegal.
    The above two likely make up a substantial if not majority of the republican base.

    Again "jailed"? There are lots of things that are illegal but won't get you "jailed". And yes I believe people when ask mean as in same sex marriage and protected status. Do you really envision prisons for homosexuals or that any more than a rounding error believe their should be?

    there are 5 million + members of the NRA. San Fran just called us all terrorists. The NRA is suing San Fran, I think maybe all 5 million members should start 5 million separate suits. Even if a judge dismisses the cases they still would have to deal with the paperwork and time. Why not? Any sharp lawyers on here? Tell us how to go about doing just that. let's bury those ass clowns.

    Sodomy laws are still on the books in thirteen states.

    I disagree with your metric that legislation has to do with popular opinion.
    Most of the country supports healthcare reform and gun reform but that isn’t going anywhere...

    Healthcare reform is so vague....... Details are important..

    Many people dont even know there are federal background checks right now so sorry just saying "reform" is needed without details is meaningless.
