I know that making snarky comments can feel really satisfying, and it clearly is the MO of a vast majority of comments on PF. But when you quote my post in which I say twice that the guy should obviousy be prosectued, and where I state unequivocally that I disagreed with what he did you just end up looking really foolish. Where did I even remotely imply that I supported what the guy did? I thought it went without saying, but since people tend to be purposefully thick on these boards to suit their conveience I did say it explicitly: "I am of course completely opposed to someone ramming their car though a bunch of people. That should go without saying" as closing thoughts, just so that everyone was absolutely clear where I was coming from "But once again: this was a very bad thing the guy did, and I hope he gets prosecuted."
But you still somehow managed to walk away with the thought that I endorsed this behaviour?

We don't know the motivations of this man but there is no excuse for using a vehicle to cause harm. That said, the citizens of Ottawa are desperate to have an end to this protest. Restaurants in the downtown core cannot open - furthering their economic troubles. Women's Shelter residents are suffering greatly because of the constant noise and tension. In response, the truckers are apologizing but say that its all the fault of the government - they just need to rescind the cross border mandates. Which is where I state - again - that this is a foolish request as the US also has the cross border mandate. So Canada lifting theirs will have no effect on their livelihoods if they are not vaccinated.
