    I don't believe these "studies" or "polls" anymore.

    After seeing a couple videos of people digging in and finding out how much absolute BS the people make up to create these stories I am done.

    The newest generation is actually voting a touch more to the Right than the Left, so again, my eyes say this poll is wrong. Unless they are literally only talking to the specific 22-30 YO's

    You are correct we should not have educated people as administrators and teachers. We should have uneducated people teaching that science is wrong and there was no slavery or holocaust. We should have them watch Fox news for current events

    I agree. It takes a horrible president to save the country from goin Over the cliff. It takes a horrible president to see the stock market triple. It takes a horrible president to save the auto industry. Perhaps you don’t like Obama but truly dreadful? LOL look at what you have in the White House now. How’s the stock market doing? How’s the auto industry doing?

    Why were those items chosen? Why go to a dumpster in a Black neighborhood to find such trash to hang as ornaments on a Christmas tree? Why didn't they simply use the garbage from the police station?

    Those items alone are not an indication of race. But when you choose such items common to the Black community and use them as some kind of message on the tree, it becomes racial.

    No, they must not be kicked out for having beliefs different from yours. How un-American it is to punish independent thought.

    The "political bent" of the parent is totally relevant in the sense that many on both ends of the political spectrum want to ban books and control the curriculum. They can be quite disruptive in the classroom in certain ways. I once called a parent about a young man who would not stop talking to others around him. I told the boy's father that he was preventing others from learning. The father showed up at my door shortly after that and said that his son had his permission to disrupt the class because all I was doing was teaching about "nig*ers" (we were reading excerpts from Fredrick Douglass' journal). I've had many parents who send notes wanting to opt-out their student from parts of the curriculum they thought were too racist, too religious, too violent, and so forth. If those parents feel strongly enough about something, they will have a very strong influence on their children. So, no, parents are not irrelevant.

    Based on what you've said so far, I'd say much of what you know about problems in education comes from the media, not any knowledgeable source.

    OK. Let's meet halfway. Keep the progressives, but kick out any inculcating of progressive values.

    Parents should have the right to control the curriculum... through the channel of the local school board.

    Teachers should only teach the curriculum that they are charged with.

    Seems simple.

    I don't usually identify anyone unless it is a part of their identity. You know, "identify"... "identity". Ah, forget it.... :frustrated:

    As for me? I'm a White male who's descended from German ancestors, and I have no problem with anyone using that to "identify" me in any way....

    Obama obviously preferred being called Black because it made it ever so much easier and more desirable for all the Blacks, libs, other minorities, etc., etc., to throng in support of him. If he'd have just been a "White" guy, would he have gotten 95%+ of the Black vote, or the lib vote, etc., etc.? Not in a country as pathetically dumbed-down as this one has turned into....

    Obama was identified as black because that’s how he was seen. When he walked out on the street he was seen as a black man. He experienced the world through a black mans eyes, not a white mans
    I guess I can use your argument with Trump ...if he wasn’t a despicable bigot would old white guys have voted for him?
    I do have to laugh at you calling Obama supporters dumbed down when people vote for trump a man with no morals .And then you wonder why Trump supporters are laughed at all over the world.
