Again a vocal minority is determining what we are allowed to see, do and say. The silent majority is going to have to stop staying silent, this is how we get so many crap laws because the majority remain quiet.

You seem confused that tbe North invaded the South to end slavery and that had the Confederate states laid down their arms the first year and rejoined the Union slavery would have ended. You to know that slavery was legal in the United States all during the war and practiced in 3 northern states. The United States did NOT go to war with the Confederacy to end slavery there or in the United States it invaded the Confederacy to keep those states and that slavery IN the United States.
And Lincoln was not an abolitionist

Yes it was else the comparison has no substance and of course comparing ths Confederacy to the Nazis is patently absurd and based on ignorance.

Cannonball Stolen from Confederate Monument in Bentonville
By: KNWA Posted: Sep 06, 2017 03:01 PM CDT

"BENTONVILLE, Ark. - The Bentonville Police Department is investigating after a cannonball went missing from a Confederate statue in the city's downtown area.

A spokeswoman for Benton County confirmed the cannonball was missing and said it weighs about 30 pounds. Before it was stolen, the missing cannonball sat at the foot of a soldier on the statue.

She also said the cannonball stolen was not the original cannonball on the statue.

After violence erupted in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the removal of a Confederate statue in the city, some called for Bentonville's Confederate statue to be removed as well."

Mayor, City Council voted 10-1 to remove monument

"The City Council on Thursday voted 10-1 in favor of the removal, a response to a national discussion of the placement of Confederate monuments.

The lone dissenting vote was by District 10 Councilman Clayton Perry, who earlier expressed issue with timing so close to Hurricane Harvey, and the mayor circumventing the Historic Design Commission, which is charged with handling historic monuments in San Antonio.

Several members of the city council showed up to watch the preparation and start of the removal Thursday evening.

District 8 Councilman Manny Pelaez says although it was a 10-1 vote, it was not an easy decision and many months of discussion went into it.

He says he’s proud other council members showed up to witness the monument’s removal.

“I think that leadership isn’t just about listening to people and making a decision but also putting your hands on, putting your eyes on, the consequences of your vote so I’m very thankful for my colleagues that showed up tonight,” said Pelaez.

San Antonio police chief William McManus said he prepared for the worst, considering the violence in Charlottesville surrounding the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee. McManus wouldn't say how many officers were assigned to the park, just enough to handle a "very, very large crowd".

“We don't anticipate, we plan for the worst case scenario. We don't want to end up like Charlottesville. We want to make sure we're prepared even if that means we're overprepared.” Said McManus earlier.

Throughout the morning officers turned people away as they approached the park.

An officer at the scene said the force is currently being stretched thin as the removal of the statue was unexpected and they are also presently manning the hurricane shelters in town."

Dallas wants a clean sweep =

DALLAS SCHOOL DISTRICT WEIGHING RENAMING SCHOOLS NAMED AFTER FRANKLIN, JEFFERSON AND MADISON
The district is exploring whether to rename the schools on the list because of their namesake’s ties to slavery or the Confederacy, the Dallas Morning News reported
    Daily Caller - SEPTEMBER 18, 2017
    https://www.infowars.com/dallas-sch...s-named-after-franklin-jefferson-and-madison/

"Dallas Independent School District included schools named after three of America’s Founding Fathers on a list of schools that the district is exploring renaming.

The DISD administration has already recommended renaming four schools named after Confederate generals, including Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. The district is conducting additional research on whether to rename at least 20 other schools named after historical figures. The list of schools, posted by DISD board member Dustin Marshall on Facebook Saturday night, includes schools named after Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison."
