    What if major media organizations sent journalists to the area where this shooting occurred... you know... to do some investigating?

    What if those organizations pressured local law enforcement and politicians?

    What would that look like?

    Many shootings in the US never get national exposure but mostly all get regional or local coverage. What merits national coverage is up to the editor of the organization plain and simple.

    Of course, in contrast to other MASS KILLINGS (in which innocent people are Randomly KILLED by a Deranged Stranger) in the Shooting in the OP NO ONE WAS KILLED (and it wasn't random).

    Anyone trying to find any sort of "Equivalency" is seriously misguided.

    True, however if this was an incident to where someone shot 7 people in a mall somewhere then it would have gained more attention even if nobody died.

    A spade is a spade, I don't play semantics nor beat around the bush. The mainstream media doesn't report on black killings very often because they happen on a daily basis. To be fair to them they sort of can't because as I said before it would be akin to CNN breaking news every time there was a 3 car pile up somewhere in America. It's just way too frequent of an occurrence for it to make mainstream news on a routine basis.

    I've said it before and I'll say it again. This massive outrage over the amount of people killed with guns only started once gun violence left the impoverished ghetto's and started to affect "normal America". I never saw Senators standing in front of press conferences giving lectures on how Glocks work and explaining how dangerous they are when black people have been murdering each other with them by the thousands on a yearly basis for decades and killing plenty of innocent people in the crossfire. But when somebody takes an AR-15 and targets "middle America" then now it's a tragedy. Sound the alarm! This could happen to your family!

    But what about the inner city Americans who have been living with this bloodshed for decades who kill more people in a single weekend than has ever happened in any mass shooting? Ah who cares that doesn't effect us we don't live like them. But of course now that guns are in the spotlight the same politicians and holier than thou folks who "care about saving lives" will loop in the inner city bloodbaths too and yeah we care about them as well that's why we are trying to implement massive gun restrictions.

    Yeah whatever. Where were they in the 90s and 2000s when getting shot while going about your daily life was primarily only a concern of inner city poor folks? When but getting shot while going about your daily life becomes a concern for "everybody else" now all of a sudden we are at DEFCON 1.

    Yes there is an equivalency...And we know exactly what it is and it doesn't just go away because it makes people uncomfortable to talk about it.
