I don't and what black folks are you around that treat you like **** everyday.

Not surprising, that is if you are actually black.

I'm black and I'm proud and never ashamed of identifying myself as being black. Who taught you to hate yourself.

Her degree in Philosophy is almost as useless as Lolade's degree in African studies. Neither will get anywhere with them. Luckily for Sarah, she's already a lawyer.

Folks this pretty much speaks for itself. This is what makes some black folks ashamed of who they are. Who taught you to hate folks because of the shape of the nose, the lips, or the courseness of the hair.

I don't hate myself. I love myself. But I'm not gonna pretend like all black people hold the same morals and values, because they don't and MOST of the black people in MY life are self destructive, poorly educated and belligerent and I will not associate myself with such people and it SEEMS that most black people in America share those traits. I could be wrong. Again, I'm only going off of my own personal experience.

    Lol, the lights were off!

    From the linked cnn article:

    "What happened at Yale
According to Siyonbola, she was working on a paper in the Hall of Graduate Studies when she fell asleep in a common room. Another female student came in, turned on the lights and told her, "You're not supposed to be sleeping here. I'm going to call the police.""

Info on common areas in the hall of Graduate Studies and security-related info:

    Other Amenities

    • Other services that are open to residents at any time are a basement-level University-maintained computer room, student kitchen, laundry room, and a lounge with cable TV/DVD, pool table, Ping-Pong, foosball, and air hockey game equipment.
    • The small basement kitchen is available for light food preparation. It has small dining table, a microwave, electric stove and oven, toaster, refrigerator, and sink. Cookware is not provided nor is storage of resident items permissible due to space and cleanliness issues.
Security Access to HGS Residential Areas

    • Because HGS is part of the academic building of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the main gate to HGS is open during the weekday. Students will need their ID card and keys to access the residential sections of HGS. Bedrooms are kept behind locked stairwells, hallways, or elevators. All of this security is to keep our students safe!

Ok, my take. The lights were off so I doubt the lady just nodded off whilst studying. I'm thinking there is some unreported history here. Either the lady has been a crazy dorm resident that's been confrontational in the past or the dorm and commons areas are frequented by stray folks looking for shelter to sleep.

It is very common for students or homeless people to actually live in student unions, libraries and dorms, yale is no exception. If you think I'm being silly you haven't attended a university.

Ah so what morals and values do you hold that raises you over the rest of us. How many black people have you been around to claim that most black folks are beneath you.

Yeah, you were offended by the dread comment. However, I didn't say it to offend those who wear dreads, I'm just telling you that dreads remind people of dirty hair. It's not ignorance, it's reality.

With a pillow and blanket with the lights turned off so they could sleep? Yeah I would think that unusual and against housing rules for a common area.

History is fine, but I'm not going to think theres a Japanese soldier behind every bush when I go to a Pacific Isle.

Slices in time are fun and informative...but they pass, and you aren't supposed to keep living in them.

The Black person is not persecuted in America today, in fact it's been going quite the other way.

That's bullshit because there is nothing dirty looking about the young woman in the second picture, it just speaks volumes of the mindset you carry.

Of course not with the GOP doing everything they can hope to get away with to suppress the black vote to this very day.

At least they had yet to try to return to attack dogs and police batons.

    Photo:

Six students were recently caught living in the Charles Sturt University library in Port Macquarie. (Pexels.com)

International students are struggling to find a place to live when they come to Australia.

Akash (not his real name) is a Nepalese student who moved to the northern New South Wales city of Port Macquarie to study at Charles Sturt University.

“I stayed in a backpackers at the start,” he said.

“I was thinking I would stay for a week or two, but that got extended, and I had to stay a month and a half.”

Students and homeless folk living in University buildings, libraries, storerooms, study rooms and hidden nooks is very very common. Is it worth calling the campus cops? Probably has to do with the demeanor of the person caught.

When did the Japanese people enslave whites, how many whites were lynched by Japanese folks. I didn't realize white folks had a Civil Rights Movement in Japan.

We are everyday in courtrooms all across this country.

What other white woman made it her personal bedroom and is not required to show an ID when requested?

Lord have mercy... Whoever wrote that pile of garbage needs to go back to school. Hell, Bill, was it you who wrote that? Your form and minor grammatical errors - that any half decent professional could pick up on - are very similar.

Again, why should your ignorance offend me? If your ignorance should bother anyone it should be yourself. Indeed I'm more than ok with you remaining uninformed and increasingly left behind by the progress of society. I don't see mainstream anyone jumping to defend your lot. The deniers of discrimination had their day, now its ours. Industries, companies, campuses rush to apologize to us and the media makes sure they do by highlighting these stories. We move millions of people and millions of dollars and even Fox news has to bend and apologize to us. So no I'm not offended. I'm happy to see these stories and I'm happy to let people like you come in and display your ignorance. I ask what about dreads is dirty and you can't give a real answer because you're ignorant.

    From your link:

    2. She won a middle school class debate about the Civil War with pro-slavery arguments
In a 2010 blog post for Humanist, Braasch recalled a time in middle school when her classed was assigned to debate the pros and cons of slavery.

“I know, in retrospect it seems a bit odd to me as well. But, in a sense, what better way is there to learn about any historical subject than to debate it? And rather than debate the subject from the perspectives of late twentieth-century teens, we approached it as if we were abolitionists or southern plantation owners during Abraham Lincoln’s presidency,” she wrote.

BillRM, This is exactly how debate/retoric classes work, you argue the side you are assigned.

Actually it was two more cops that showed up... The black one and an Hispanic female. CNN only called out the two white ones by their race.

Blacks haven't been mistreated in decades. Blaming this on race is what we call knee-jerk reactions or jumping the gun or making a lethal gas chamber out of an ant fart.

You're assuming it's due to racism, why do you assume this is due to racism?

For starters, I'm not self destructive, poorly educated or belligerent.

I live in a neighborhood that is 90+% black. Unfortunately, for privacy reasons, I can't say exactly where I work, but I work around hundreds of black people and they treat their environment like crap and my employer, black, treats the black employees like crap.

I mentioned this in a work meeting we had today and EVERYONE of my co-workers agreed with me and they are ALL black.
