There are many persons on this forum who are determined to see no good in this gentle charming woman.
I think they’d prefer to see a return of the inarticulate nude model who was there before.

Ah, the women empowerment crowd. Hypocritical as always.

And articulate? You're saying Jill Biden is articulate? So you think Latinos are breakfast tacos, too? That wouldn't surprise me if you did think that. After all, Democrats are the crowd of the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Pick, pick, pick. Spanish isn’t her first language.
Did you bag the previous FLOTUS for her English? Or her pretend other European languages?

The word "bodega" is actually in the English dictionary.

    Bodega Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster

So, is English not Jill Biden's first language? Is that what you are saying? I wouldn't be surprised, given how she crafted that half-assed dissertation.

And how is Spanish not being Jill Biden's first language an excuse to refer to Latinos as breakfast tacos?

I’ve already said that she didn’t refer to Latinos as breakfast tacos. Didn’t you read that?

Love to see some examples of what you consider “inarticulate” especially considering she is a professor of education.

PS using polysyllabic language is not being inarticulate

No, you didn't. If you think you did, point out which post number you said that in.

She compared Latinos to breakfast tacos.

That's the most recent point of inarticulation.

What about this quote from her laughable disertation:

"Three quarters of the class will be Caucasian; one quarter of the class will be African American; one seat will hold a Latino; and the remaining seats will be filled with students of Asian descent or non-resident aliens."

Just a snippet of her joke of a dissertation and why she had to go to the same school that has an entity named after her husband, who was a US Senator in the same state for decades, to get her doctorate.

Why are you writing like a Neanderthal would speak? You just need to add some grunts in between each sentence for the full effect:

"English not Xyce's strong suit." *grunt* "Greek Xyce's strong suit." *grunt* "Try Greek"

The utter irony! You people are hilarious. Unintentionally hilarious. But hilarious, nonetheless.

You all kind of remind me of this meme:

In her speech at the conference of UnidosUS, the country’s largest Latino advocacy group, Biden said the diversity of the Latino community — “as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio — is your strength.”

I respond to ad hominem with ad hominem. I've noticed you have liked all the ad hominem posts directed at me. Hypocritical much? But while we are on the subject of bad form of debating, I would say to you that it's bad form to say you wrote something in a post that you did not write, and it's also bad form to not provide evidence when you make a claim, and then when asked to provide evidence, refuse to do so.

With regard to writing that you wrote something that you did not write, I'm not sure if you are misinformed, not reading or understanding what you yourself are writing--or if you are a lying, dog-faced pony soldier. Which is it?

Yes, she was comparing the diversity of Latinos to the diversity of breakfast tacos. Thus, she was comparing Latinos to breakfast tacos. It's a distinction without a difference. Even the NAHJ, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, says, "We are not tacos. Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by various diasporas, cultures & food traditions. Do not reduce us to stereotypes." Is the NAHJ lying? Is the NAHJ wrong?

If you remove the similes, the statement is “the diversity of the Latino Community… is your strength.”

Yes, if you remove her not comparing Latinos to breakfast tacos, she did not compare Latinos to breakfast tacos.

    I agree.

FLOTUS brings a wealth of experience to her role in the White House.

“Jill Biden, Ed.D., is the First Lady of the United States, a community college educator, a military mother, a grandmother, and bestselling author. Dr. Biden also served as Second Lady of the United States from 2009–2017.”

Another tip about debate: when you are defending what someone said, you don't defend them by modifying what they said. Also, when you lose an argument, which you clearly did, because Jill Biden did refer to Latinos as breakfast tacos, generally speaking, by convention, either you say, "Agree to disagree." Or, better yet, and this takes some humility, you inform your opponent that they were right and you were wrong. You don't childishly say that you are bored.

Keep in mind there are some that flipped out by her (accurate) use of the title "Dr.". I personally had to explain that to a few of their ilk in my physical world. So, I've learned to manage my expectations.

Jill Biden, the woman who compared Latinos to tacos, is a case in point of why we need reform in the education system. How Jill Biden got her doctorate, at the very least, has the veneer of corruption. She got her doctorate from the University of Delaware, which has an entity named after her husband, Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy & Administration, who was a US Senator of Delaware for decades. Given the circumstances around which she submitted her dissertation, should we really believe that the doctoral committee that reviewed her dissertation acted with impartiality? Under the circumstances, I don't see how the doctoral board would possibly disapprove of her dissertation, especially since it's also in a deep blue state, and she's a Democrat. Were it anyone else, some working-class person with no name recognition, that submitted that same dissertation, littered with grammatical, punctuation, and logical errors, would they get approval, too? I doubt it. Per the LA Times, Joe Biden said, "She said, ‘I was so sick of the mail coming to Sen. and Mrs. Biden. I wanted to get mail addressed to Dr. and Sen. Biden.’ That’s the real reason she got her doctorate." Pure vanity. It's an absolute insult to refer to her as Dr. Jill Biden. It's an insult to the people who actually worked hard and submitted approval-worthy dissertations.
