I'd rather burn in hell than bend my knee to the kind of monster that would be willing to send someone there. I'm rather sure that I'm safe though, as hell isn't a real place.
So, you support a god that is a sadist that makes the worst of the Nazi war criminals look like puppy dogs? A god that thinks like letting babies be still born is a cool idea? A god that likes to make up new bacteria that can cause incredible suffering? A god that causes untold suffering and pain across the world? Surely, even if it was real, such a total sadist would actually be the place where all the other nasty ones go?
Glad to hear you say that. It will be great fun to watch. If I'm wrong we end up in the same place. If you're wrong.....well you have an eternity of hurt coming to you.....good luck!
Free will allows you to believe what you want. If I'm wrong we end up in the same place. If you're wrong.....well you have an eternity of hurt coming to you.....good luck!
You still haven't answered the simplest of questions: What are the criteria for going to heaven or hell? Why should someone, who has been a moral person all their life, but happen to be born muslim, go to heaven, while you, judging people you don't know all the time in a not very kind way, should go to heaven? Just because you "pray" to the right god (or may that be the god of money?), while he doesn't? That doesn't make sense to me.
That says far, far worse about you than it does about me. Ah, pascal's wager. As if I've never seen that one before.
That's probably the most un-Christian thing I've seen someone write here by someone professing to believe.
How do you know they get upset? I don't care how you waste your time. Why would they get upset? Since prayer can be silent you won't disturb anyone. You have no complaint or point. - - - Updated - - - Oh? I've seen worse and am of the opinion that it is VERY christian.
Yes, typical of christians ....they hate just as well as anyone else despite their arrogance and pontificating....
See, you repeat the same baloney. If the world was flat instead of round, people would be falling off the earth. I don't have a big problem. See, that is your problem. And with that belief, you try and muck up everyone elses life here on earth. That is my problem, here and now. Also, you have no clue if you're following the right God. You may have a belief in the false God and that by some religions will be far far worse than those who don't follow any God and certainly worse than the lucky few who have the correct God. You also may be preaching falsely by following the correct God but the wrong religion. Sheep in wolves clothing thing. So, don't count your chickens before they're hatched.
With comments like that, I am quite sure you will be with those in the lake of fire. LOL. Welcome to our humble abode.
The ridiculous things I'd have to do in this life as 'insurance' in case God exists are so ludicrous I feel perfectly safe not believing in your God, because even if one DOES exist, the chances of God being as the Bible claims are virtually non-existent; by definition, an all-knowing, all-powerful entity would not give a (*)(*)(*)(*) if I believed it existed. And since there's absolutely no evidence God exists anyway, I am absolutely certain there will be no downsides, even if God somehow implausibly turned out to exist.
You are not right. I saw the last comment you made. You aren't even the sheep in wolves clothes, you are the wolf.
No that isn't very christian. That is one who acts christian but is really the works of the devil. Purposely or unknowing. Doesn't matter.
I would say I am agnostic, rather than athiest. That said, I can't be bothered to get involved when people want to have group prayer. I'd prefer some other motivational aspect that gets everyone involved, rather than just a particular religious group. I wouldn't say I get "exercised", or similar, about it... but it seems strange to me that you would want to exclude some people that otherwise want to get involved. I don't particularly have beef with it though; just seems a little bizarre when it's not a religious event. I guess I'm fairly indifferent in outward attitude towards it. If they are all Christian, say, (and they could be) it seems fair for them to have a group prayer if they want... but a team obviously has many fans of many walks of life.
LOL. Just look at the math. To be all-knowing, god would have to keep track of the positions of all atoms in a human's body at any point in time. That's more than 10^27 atoms. If the location of every atom was one bit information, that would require 10^27 bits, or 10 million times more bits that the information ever accumulated in computers of all mankind. And, then, he'd have to compute this information every femto second. The computing power to do this and the energy required is unimaginable, and that's just for one human, not billions. So, physical laws don't bode well for god to exist. Or, maybe, he is powered by a black hole.
But surely, if your god is as evil as I have clearly shown, is it not more likely that he is the one with the forked tail?
I'm an atheist, and I do not get my panties in a wad over a cross. Jezus, I'm an atheist, not a vampire.
pretty sure there would be alot more religious people complaining if they scrapped the prayer before a match then atheists ever complained about the actual prayer. alot of religious people are either simpleminded people or hipocrits(thinking of that woman that twice divorced that refused to sign marriage licenses, shouldnt she be stoned or something for adultry ?) religion often leads to abuse, judgement (when they should not judge) and attempt to enforce there way of life on others. but (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and cry when the oposite happends. fairly sure even if there is such a thing as a god, hes not gonna send me to hell if i'm a good and moral person in daily life eitherway in the end thats more important.
