The issue is some of these people going around(I'm watching the Detroit News) trying to 'counter' the perception of it being a 'miracle drug'. Trump NEVER said anything about it being a miracle drug, just that it works. And as far as "Clinical Trials", that's housespeak for: "Companies to get paid and make money off of these drugs".

Because it's OFF-LABEL, they can't make dime off of it and that's the real crux of the issue here.

No, actually, whether or not this drug is undergoing clinical trials, and how those trials are going, would probably not be generally available information. Not every question at those briefings is partisan, and it was a valid question.

 

It's the people who need to be kept informed on possible treatments. Have you had this virus yourself? I have.

I separate people into two camps in regards to the efficacy of chloroquine in treating Covid. One camp thinks it works or is about to be proven it works. This camp watches Fox News or inhales right wing agitprop along with their daily worshiping of Trump. The other group is the rest of humanity who are waiting for the experts to provide us with a tested vaccine or palliative.

 

And the reason for Trump doing so? Because Dr. Fauci had already answered the question MULTIPLE times already. Only so many times the same question can be asked before someone finally tells ya to figuratively "shut up".

State Rep. Karen Whitsett, who learned Monday she has tested positive for COVID-19, said she started taking hydroxychloroquine on March 31, prescribed by her doctor, after both she and her husband sought treatment for a range of symptoms on March 18.

"It was less than two hours" before she started to feel relief, said Whitsett, who had experienced shortness of breath, swollen lymph nodes, and what felt like a sinus infection. She is still experiencing headaches, she said.

Some people don't have the time for a two-year in-depth standard protocol study but rather have only a few hours.
