A Simple Question for Those Are Still Opposed to Same Sex Marriage

Even now that same sex marriage exists, would Angela actually have rights which would trump Jack's rights? Just because Angela got married to Kathy, how would this affect how the law sees Angela's relationship to the kids?

Key thing here. Words come into creation, and meanings change. Otherwise "gay", "******", and "queer" have never meant "homosexual".

Who wants different names for gay couples? Husband and husband or wife and wife works just fine. Did I miss something over the years?

 

Amazingly enough, within this "natural law" there are animals who are homosexual and exhibit as such. Interestingly enough they are of about the same proportion as homosexuals among humans. I guess such animals are extreme? However, given that such homosexual animals naturally appear, I don't see that as extreme, simply natural. oh look, we're back at subjective.

 

I didn't say that social standards are fictions. I said that there are many things, especially along the lines of roles and clothing fashions, are social fictions. IOW, they do not exist on their own, but have to be created by society and as such are not truly of one sex/gender or the other. There is no such thing as high heels being only for women. That is a social fiction. Especially since men were the first to start wearing high heels. The most recent social standard in the US would have it be that only women wore high heels, but that standard in currently changing.

 

Change Angela to Andy and rework the problem. If the problem still remains then SSM did nothing on that particular front.

I disagree there are certain rules that men are better suited for on average and that women are better suited for on average gender roles or the concept thereof came out of this reality. No I do not think reality is as rigid as some people View gender roles but there is a a basis for it in biology.

As far as Christianity goes..... those that accept the sacrifice for sin, having a changed heart,, and strive for that perfection, are covered from that guilt. There have been millions upon millions. Deviance is a statistical word. It means deviation from status quo. Status quo is in perfection so therefore Perfection is deviance.

If you're talking about deviance or deviation from the Bible will do it nobody adheres to the Bible nobody can the Bible even says in Romans 3:23. So everyone except for Christ is a deviant.
