Never said it was facts, just Texas Mentality. El Paso is sometimes called the Mexican City in America, among others. And Cuidad Juarez, the opposite of side of El Paso is just as similar in a lot of ways.

that's an excuse, not a reason.

That isn't the reasoning. They are in the middle of the process of their asylum cases. Giving false pretenses to solve those issues with immigration, which does include jobs, housing, and others, and not following through is illegal. this happens if a business tried to sell you "prime USDA grade A beef" and it turned out to be grade D beef. You would have the same legal reasoning in a civil suit.

What's an excuse? I listed a link where a migrant told a news reporter why they are leaving. They are leaving and coming here because our borders are OPEN. He didn't make an excuse for coming here. He told the reason they are coming.

Ambulance chaser lawyers are lawyers who get involved with accidents and try to make the bigger company pay. The "Texas Hammer" aka Jim Adler, is one famous ambulance chaser.

And I listened to the link. The Fox News pundits are the ones who make those claims or coerce those to make the claim by saying it is easy for them to come here and enter the country.

What they hear and what is reality are two different things.

You are making excuses for being wrong in the first place. There is no figurative argument for saying San Antonio is a border town. It's like saying Los Angeles is a border town, CA./MX. It isn't either. Both cities are about a hundred and fifty miles from the border.

Nonsense. A migrant spoke telling us the reason they are coming here, and you dismissed what he said.

Democrat sheriff investigating DeSantis, Abbott wants migrants to be embraced because restaurants need workers

'Salazar said that businesses should welcome the migrants and offer them jobs. The sheriff is opening an investigation into Governor DeSantis transporting 50 illegal migrants from Texas to Florida and then on to Martha’s Vineyard. He has a history of political partisanship and it is impossible to look at this story and not think about the fact that the mid-term elections are just 47 days away. Salazar has posed with supporters of Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke in pictures on Facebook and has called upon Texans to “vote blue.”'

Is it legal for businesses to hire illegals?

Sheriff continues: ‘If you go to any restaurant in San Antonio, Texas, right now you’re going to wait a long time to get your table, even though there are empty tables, because there are not enough wait staff to wait on you; you’re going to wait a long time for your food because there are not enough people to cook it in the back. Half the cooks maybe aren’t showing up for work, or they quit.’

Again, no. Refer to my other post explaining why. As I said, a court is going to have to clarify the issue.

Then why are you so insistent that it is? We're not in Texas. We're on a forum discussing things with other people who reside all over the country and some of them are even in other countries. So why are you using a standard that you know is not factual?

I don't see what there actually is to investigate.

No one with brain cells can figure out what was illegal. But then, Leftists….they investigate everything to tar and feather their enemies regardless of merit logic or reason. And Desantis is now worse than Trump, so he needs to hang of course.

I was giving you clues to begin with like "Texas Mentality" for instance. And the belief that we have "anything under three hours is just a block away." I was never being literal, I was always being figurative, or fictitious. And yes, many native Texans believe San Antonio is a border town, but not in a literal sense. It's a Texas thing or attitude, sort of like the "United States of Texas" meme.

If you paid close attention, I was consistent all along. I did say "Texas Mentality" and said, "that anything under a three-hour drive is just a block away." Do you think that was being literal or fetititious?

So you're saying it just to irreverently argue.

The cheapest GUILTY verdict of an entire political ideology, ever purchased.

All this extraneous tap dancing won't erase any of it. This incident will be remembered forever.

No one will remember the little pouts of indignation at having been found out, when the truth is so revelatory and shocking.

You think he gave them a contract which actually specifies that they won't have to apply for those jobs? LOL :D

Probably. Its going down to history books as the most childish political stunt ever, not to mention Florida Governor is burning tons of Florida taxpayer money to deal with Texas issues.

I don't know what he told them. It wouldn't surprise me at all though, no. The whole thing is already ridiculous.
