The Daily Mail uncovered an interview given in 1988 and published in the Detroit Free Press in which Carson's mother said that she was the one with the hammer.

[I]His mother, still lively but arthritic and living with heart problems in Inkster, remembers the time she and Bennie had a spat over clothes he wanted for school. He raised his hand; she reached for the hammer she had out while working on the house. The two might really have tangled, she says, had not her older son Curtis, now a mechanical engineer in Indiana, stepped between them.
“I’m still working on my temper,” she says, “but God seems to have done Bennie a really big favor.”

WTF? Carson's narrative keeps getting weirder and weirder. What is funny is that Carson accused the press of conducting a witch hunt; and excused himself for 'exaggerating' his story by saying that no one could remember the exact details of something that happened fifty years ago. But in his books, Carson quotes conversations, he had with people fifty years ago, including one he had with he mother about the hammer.

He can't remember the names and dates of incidences that happened fifty years ago, but can remember conversations from that long ago? Not likely.

A physician who wrote an article for AlterNet entitled, Ben Carson Is Not Smart, says that anyone can be trained to perform procedures. He said he has seen surgical assistants perform complex surgical procedures. 'Do something enough and you'll get good at it,' he said. He also pointed out the neurosurgeons are famous for their gigantic egos.

    A few other tidbits:

There is a video of Carson in the operating room of a little girl with a brain tumor. While the surgeons are hovering over the little girl, Carson is hamming it up for the cameras. Weird.

Carson spoke at a National Action Network event, the organization which Shakedown Sharpton started. This organization is exclusively black and rabble rouses continuously. Sharpton uses this org. to shakedown corporations for contributions. Carson and Sharpton will have to fight over which one of them is Jesus, because Sharpton calls himself the "Rejected Stone", and Carson thinks he's the Second Coming.

And for the Fundamentalists: At a speaking engagement Carson said that no matter what Jews and Muslims believe about Jesus, we are all children of God. I don't care about this, but excuse me if I point out that, according to Christian belief, one cannot be a 'child of God' unless one believes wholeheartedly in Jesus Christ. There are no exceptions to the rule for devout Christians.

On the Hannity show, Carson said that Muslims shouldn't be president, but before that, he included Muslims in the 'family' of the children of God, even though they don't believe that Jesus was the Son of God.

Another weird thing: There are pictures of Carson with his index finger pointing upwards. This is an Islamic symbol of something; and in one picture he is wearing a tie with crescent moon on it--also a symbol of Islam. Just saying. . . maybe he isn't the devout Christian he claims to be. It wouldn't be the first time a republican 'converted' just in time to catch the religious right's votes.

Carson has been exposed as a dishonest person, it does not actually matter to his supporters. Fortunately those supporters are so few as to not pose a threat to whoever finally gets the nomination...it does make his VP chances extremely slim however.

I heard that interview and he was asked if he would VOTE for a Muslim president. He said he would not. At no time did he say " Muslims shouldn't be president." Also his interpretation of the Christian belief is in line with many churches teachings. I am not going to vote for the man but it seems like people are REALLY trying to tear him down. What is everyone so worried about? If he cannot win he should just be ignored or humored until he drops out. Oh and as for that doctor writing that Ben Carson is not smart, that guy must be an idiot because he is wrong not just anyone can become a surgeon let alone a neurosurgeon. Sounds more like sour grapes or envy to me.

The reason he can't remember anything is that his last operation as a neurosurgeon was on himself and he then retired having destroyed half the brain cells in his head.

If Carson were to win the white house the first order of business is to hide all the hammers and knives.
