And THAT's a really good example - and very appropriate - of racism in the USA.

It was also 50 years ago. History. We've come a long way, don't you agree?

There's a passage in 1984 that immediately came to my mind on hearing this. Winston is in jail, and his neighbour is brought in. Parsons is a dim, complacent, servile party drone, forever parroting party slogans, incapable of thought, much less subversion:

    http://www.george-orwell.org/1984/17.html

Just as Parsons basically prostrates himself before The Party in gratitude for saving him from himself, the ACLU loyally thanks its followers for holding its feet to the fire and denouncing their White Supremacy, for which the ACLU shamefully recognises its guilt.

It's so ****ing similar it's creepy. And the ideology is identical. It's almost literally lifted out of 1984, George Orwell's parody on totalitarianism.

the lunatic alt left is going to guarantee that there will never be another democrat president in my live time they are going to be reduced to small blue patches on the upper east coast and west coast
Democrats seriously need to think about calling out and distancing them selves from this racist lunatic alt left that has infiltrated its base because last time I check whites still are the vast majority of the country and they are getting very sick and tired of being the scapegoat and being called racist just for being born white

All of 1984 is applicable to the left's ideology. Thanks for posting that excerpt.

The current lunacy could have come right out of the book as well, if Orwell were dark enough to conceive of it: a blond baby image = white supremacy; Robert Lee, a Chinese sportscaster = white supremacy; the USC mascot horse = white supremacy.

Moving my other post on this to humor and satire was also telling.

It doesn't seem like we've come a long way since a picture of a little white boy with an American flag triggered the nuts just like it did when a little black boy holding the flag drove the cop bat ___ crazy and the cop assaulted the kid. It seems that when little boys hold the American flag it drives people insane.

An ambulence is pushy and has a loud siren. Doesn't mean it's the only car on the road.

Just what the F is wrong with people to let these gimps order them around? It's like letting 4 year olds rule the world or something. Just say No to the nasty little ***** already for gosh sake.

The internet, Twitter, Facebook and the fake media provide lots of platforms for ranters - they magnify selective voices. I like to say it's like an ambulence going by - it's loud and pushy and gets everyone's attention, but it certainly doesn't represent everyone on the road. The way this is going, we shall become a people who, instead of trying to hear what others are saying, become people who ignore everything we hear. And that's the danger.
Freedom relies upon self-governance. That includes speech.
