    There are plenty of arms in Afghanistan. Problem is there is no one ethnic group called "Afghans". They are made up of Pastun, Tajiks, Uzbeks, Turkmen and even some Arabs. They are as or more deivided than that other make believe artificial "country"-Iraq or as Phonyslavia- Yugoslavia was.

    They did stand up to the Russians -Soviet terrorists as they stood up to the British in the 19th century.

    It seems like they stand up to external terrorists but not so much "internal" terrorists.

    Great story! I hope she survives.

    I'm not a fan of the Taliban at all, but I definitely think we need to get and stay the hell out of Afghanistan, except for maybe some SF working with the Afghan government to help assassinate taliban leaders and root out any terrorist plots to America. Let Afghanistan do the conventional fighting. There is no winning in a region with a tribal way of life like Afghanistan unless you want to conquer it like Genghis Khan and slaughter everyone who dares defy you.

    I agree that we need to get out but I say let's phase out over time. You probably know that certain NATO countries also have troops in Afghanistan so phasing out with good coordination with our allies is recommended by me! LOL! Yes totally agree that our role should be with SF and the CIA violence department which is a good thing.
