Certainly if enough people advocate for change laws can be amended, enacted, or repealed ... happens daily.

 

Sorry. Citizens we can only incarcerate. Not screen for entry, not deport. But fewer men = fewer murders, so stick to your convictions. Sanctuary for females only? It's a step in the right direction I guess.

Also, I find what you said difficult to believe, unless the representatives are petitioned or sent letters. I just don't see folks believing some of the stuff posted. It's truly ridiculous at times and not well researched or thought out. When one side is favored rather than balancing laws and penalties, we all lose.

 

Petitions, and in some cases protests work to change laws. More effective, IMO, are ballots cast in favor of candidates who support change. Use the PF search function. Type "immigration" and pick one you like. Better still, choose a forum, and start one youself.

I do not set in front of the TV watching the news, ready to capture a news report. As posted before IMO anyone that comes to the forum should be up on current events, before they comment.

Require E-Verify to protect employers attempting to exercise due diligence.
Go after employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens and confiscate personal assets to pay fines, pierce the corporate shield to go after CEO's, etc.,
Require mandatory jail time for all employers, managers, and employees who knowingly hire, protect, and encourage illegal aliens to work at their businesses.

With no jobs, and the threat of deportation should they be discovered, over time the illegal aliens will either return on their own, at their own convenience, or be taken out under court order.

The laws are already on the books, having been signed by President Clinton in 1996. All it takes is a will to enforce the laws.

 

A. E-verify puts the burden NOT on employers but on employees. Which means they just turn around and hire more illegals every time a bunch gets caught

B. Sure. Enforce the existing laws against hiring illegals. That would be a novelty.

C. Self deportation of 11 million people would throw our economy into chaos. Believe it or not...we actually need those workers (or most of them) just not at the super low wages that employers can pay illegals. Make them legal and the playing field is leveled

 

And it's already working.

It is easy and very possible. But what is impossible is finding an honest politician who works fro the country instead of themselves and lobby's.
We have plenty of ships and planes running all over the world ' saving ' other nations. Put them on a ship or plane and send the mall home with their kids of course so we don't break up families.
If our leaders wanted to stop the gangs and cartels now flooding our nation they would.
