It was the continued violence against the Israelis people (cafe bombings, bus bombings and knife attacks) that force the Israeli government to build their own wall. Israel has been under CONSTANT attack since the UN General Assembly adopted plan of Resolution 181 in 1947 that created the state of Israel. The Palestinians and other Arab nations only have one solution for the state of Israel and that its utter annihilation!

It only applies to entities that have signed and ratified it. One of the other things the UN Charter bans is the acquisition of territory via conquest. So Israel is violating international law in multiple ways in the West Bank.

Jews were given a state, not land, arab land owners on the Jewish side of the partition who remained loyal or neutral to Israel and didn't join the invading Arab armies kept all their land and property.

Jews did get the Negev desert, uninhabitable and unsuitable for agriculture at the time. This DESERT constituted 60% of the Jewish part of the partition. The Arabs got all the good land

Overall Israel occupies whopping 0.15% of the Middle Eastern land, the Arabs own 99.85%.
