I lived on the bluffs of E. Col Springs at around 8000 ft..did make jogging hard when I first moved there until about 1 month of acclimation.

But apparently, high altitude doesnt affect one's reading performance (teleprompter) as well as basking in glory....<cough, hack>

That is possibly the stupidest excuse I've ever heard. I mean, I've flown out to Denver from FL many times, meant with clients hours after arrival and never had an issue (well, other than TSA ass clowns). The only thing the video proves is that Al Gore is now as fat as he is ridiculous.

I find it impossible to believe someone who was elected President of The Harvard Law Review and who is normally a very good speaker would lose a debate that badly if operating at fully capacity. Gore might be onto something.

Was he the 1st Black to fill that position of Pres of The Harvard Law Review? He has gotten a lot of favoritism and passes for poor grades etc, thru out his life and his records are all sealed; and just as being the 1st Black POTUS (w/o qualifications)....he has skated ala minority favoritism his whole life!

Yeah...imagine a world without the Iraq war...

And it sure would have been nice to have that lockbox of surplus money right about now.

Go watch some videos of Obama speaking/campaigning in Colorado, and other high altitude states. You'll see that Obama appears to function just fine.

What's happened, is that Obama has met someone of superior wit and intellect. What's happened is that Obama and his administration is being called out before the entire nation. It's that simple. Does it mean that Romney will win the election? No, of course not. At the end of the day, it's not up to us, but the electoral college. What's important though, is that the nation sees that Obama and his administration is just another sack of crap, not even worthy of it's status.

You are right, and although athletes (and even thoroughbred race horses) may need at least two or three weeks to fully acclimatize and bring hemoglobin levels in the blood to nominal values, the lying idiots in Obama's camp would have us believe that Romney was OK because he got into Denver a day earlier?! Funny how professional athletes can come into Denver from sea level and kick local sports teams' butts with NO period to "get used to the HIGH altitude" -- IF they're healthy and sound physically and mentally. So, again, I call BULL**** on this whole rotten hyperlib Democrat LIE about altitude. Note: Romney is OVER FOURTEEN YEARS OLDER than Obama -- and yet the "high" altitude didn't mangle his mind. But then, Romney never was a coke-snorting, drunken smoker, either... and who the hell knows what Obama is "on" these days...?

The most useful thing about this stupid lie is how much it reveals to us about the Libocrat Left which never tires of protecting and coddling Obama. They will lie, they will cheat, they will obscure, they will spin, manipulate and distort EVERYTHING to make their President Half-Wit look like some kind of terrestrial "messiah" who should be trusted in completely. God help us if more than 50% of us are ever conned into believing THAT again....

I wonder why the high altitude didn't affect Romney in such a negative way? In fact, it seemed like the high altitude actually helped him. Are black people adversely affected by high altitudes?

The problem is obama is a manufactured straw man. He has been hyped and touted by the liberal media into something he really isn't. Of course, the leftist kool-ade chuggers swallowed it all and believe the hype, but at the debate, their messiah had no teleprompter, he had no media or spinsters, no press corp spokesman to shield him. He was out in the open, fending for himself. We all saw the results... 'nuff said.

The best long-distance runners come from high-altitudes in Africa!

But what is ironic about the Al Gore comment is that he is "Mr. Science" on the environment of global warming, but when he takes his 'expertise' of the environment to high altitudes, and as well being a frequent flyer, is so ignorant about cabin pressures in commercial aircraft being around 8000 ft except for take-offs & landings....

And so, Al Gore = Failed (AGAIN!)

I'm just trying to figure out why the high altitude would hurt one candidate and not the other. Was there any elevation difference between where Romney stood and where Obama stood? I didn't see any.

That since he can't operate coheriently at altitudes of 5000' or above and since a President has to fly in pressurized aircraft quite often we need to get a new President.

If Obama can't perform at 5,280 feet, how can we expect him to perform at 8,000 feet aboard Air Force One?

Yes we could not allow Saddam to remain in power because it was unimaginable according to the Clinton administration. What was your plan to get him out?

But then what does that all have to do with Obama and his, anticipated by me, lousy debate forum and Gore insulting our intelligence thinking we would believe this hysterically bogus excuse?

Usually while on AF1 at 8000 ft, he just has to wear his jacket with the seal on it and 'play' President....heck, I can do that!!

Shud a crisis come, he just calls Hillary ( @ 3 AM), Valarie (to hold his hand), or Michelle (to tuck him in)

It had to be the altitude and Bush's fault.

I believe that it's still a matter of him gotten lazy from not being challenged, and just playing at being President with cliche talking points that have muddled his mind over the 250+ fund raisers the past year. Style is everything to the American worshippers of the cult of personality, and arrogance & his 'stare of death' along with the 'nanny' mainstream media have kept him isolated in his cocoon for the past 4 yrs......he is the one out of touch---not Romney who he accuses of being such!!

    NOTE:

His muddled mind got it wrong the 1st time during the debate: "Where everybody gets a fair shot and a fair share---er, I mean, pays their fair share"......

Nice try, but Obama has done just fine in Colorado on many other occasions. You simply need to face facts: Obama got his ass handed to him by an intelligent, experienced businessman with experience in the real world and plenty of facts on his side.
