Are you saying that you as a woman have a positive view of pregnancy? That you perhaps have a sense of reverence for your unique ability to perform a miracle of sorts?
I like the way you put that, ModCon. As a father I don't know how some people who are "pro-Choice" can liken the miracle of bringing life into the world to having a disease.
- Nobody does - Nobody does - None On topic (because this certainly isn't), the governor lady signed this bill..... if this was my state, that would be her political death warrant, but a Southern Woman don't need us around, anyhow...
Lovely rhetoric, isn't it? The kind that leads to sticking people in concentration camps and ovens...
Alabama bans Abortion. Under the bill, doctors face 10 years in prison for attempting to terminate a pregnancy and 99 years for carrying out the procedure. A woman who has an abortion would not be held criminally liable, and abortion in cases where the mother's life is at serious risk are allowed. The state Senate approved the law by 25 votes to six, rejecting exemptions for cases of rape or incest, with some noting all those voting for the bill were men. So ‘The Land of the Free’ moves back 60 years to the back street butchers for the poor and a holiday in Switzerland for the daughters of the rich. I’m shaking my head in disbelief.
Abortion would be rare if it were not for the efforts to dehumanize the unique individual who begins developing at the moment of conception. That's how we've arrived at a place where "we're" considering "aborting" a viable baby... even after he or she has been removed from the womb.
Amazing to me anyone can think this is a good law. I didn’t think conservatives were this f’d up. Guess I was wrong.
Don't worry - it will never stand up in court. The phony moral pretenses on display in this law are quite interesting, aren't they? No exceptions for rape and incest, and how is a woman who seeks out an abortion and then willingly and knowingly participates in the procedure immune from prosecution? If there's no demand for abortions there will be no supply. It doesn't make sense on any level...
I'm a conservative and think this bill is way overreaching. 3rd trimester everyone healthy are the one's I think should be banned. Let's face it if you haven't figured out you want an abortion by then when health of either is in question, then that's on you not the baby. That's when adoption should be the answer.
The same laws that failed before the internet, abortion pills, and home pregnancy tests are being tried once more. The left wants to take our money and our guns, and the right wants to take away the right to our own bodies. We really need a 3rd party.
Absolutely true, and many of the people who are "pro-Choice" like to hide behind anodyne euphemisms to avoid facing and being held accountable for what they support. In the end, you're either pro-abortion or you're not. As for Kathy Tran's attempt to eviscerate the obstacles to third trimester abortions here in Virginia, I can tell you that was too extreme for many pro-abortion folks here in the Commonwealth. Again, the people who support it don't want to be honest about what they're supporting, so they throw a temper tantrum when other people refer to killing a viable baby outside the womb as infanticide. It's all bullshit...
I say legalize abortions up to a certain point, but the father has a say in the matter too. If the father chooses abortion and the mother doesnt, the father is released from all financial obligations. Were all for choices, right? Well, the father gets a choice as well.
I'm asking you why you think it will result in increased welfare. The only way that could happen is if women are too stupid to avoid pregnancy. It's YOUR theory, not mine. I believe women are smart enough to recognise they'll need to do things differently.
Why are they not avoiding pregnancy now??? What, for the joy of being able to go through an abortion??? Seriously...really think about this.
Yep, that's one of the funny things about a lot of pro-choice folks. The man has no say, even if he hopes the woman has an abortion, if she doesn't the man is STILL financially liable for "an inconvenience".
