    I personally don't think either really are concentration camps just the government forced to make no win decisions. I just thought I'd highlight the difference in coverage and as you said reasons why that I agree with

    You want to compare 25 million LEGAL immigrants coming to our country in the last century, to millions of illegals coming and weighing down our resources.

    You initial comment suggested that people could leave the camps anytime they wanted and go to the casino. Your link says that they are voluntarily leading the country. There is a difference between the two actions.

    Look, they are camps and they do "concentrate" people the government disapproves of. That's where the name comes from. The Brits thought they could stop the Boers from running a guerilla campaign if they put them all together so they could threaten their families.

    They're not death camps but just today they were saying how the ICE is continuing to abuse children. The woman is right, this is unconscionable and has to stop.

    What? I don't know what multiple posts you are combining, but I never said they could 'leave and go to the casino'. Please quote the post where you think I said that.

    Yes, they can voluntarily leave. The voluntary action is restricted to them returning to their country of origin. Also keep in mind, when attempting to color the detention camps as 'concentration camps, they came to this country voluntarily, knowing what doing so would include.

    When you gather a group of people whose health status is unknown at the time, who very likely have made a long trek through heat and other harsh conditions, do you not think someone will fall ill or possibly die as a result of their own actions? The weakest are first......

    Criminals are not all in the prison for one or even similar offenses. A concentration camp doesn't have to be a work camp as well.

    Mind, noone is saying these are NAZI camps or even that similar to Nazi camps. The Nazi camps were sui generis, quite often death camps and work-to-death camps as well . Nonetheless, they ARE concentration camps and it is shameful to have such on American soil

    Back to my original statement. They are free to leave... to return to their country of origin. Therefore they remain voluntarily, in the hopes of being granted their asylum.

    They fled their country of origin in fear of their lives. If doing something will result in your death then you are not, by definition, free to do that thing

    When you live in an alternate reality, what do you expect? Coherence? Logic? No point in attempting to get anything logical out of certain people who troll daily or simple lack any basic understanding of events surrounding them.
