    Prove this to be true.

Oh? and here I thought that any government proposed solution requires state involvement. Even in something like privatizing prisons. Or haven't you noticed?

How magnanimous of you. I suggest you buy yourself a pencil sharpener to fix your broken point.

    You avoided the question:
When was the last time you, or anyone else on the left, proposed a solution to a problem that did not involve the state?

    1. The Milankovitch cycles aren't responsible for the current global warming. We are. We added the additional greenhouse gases thru our industrial wastes. We need to fix it.
    2. Hopefully, most nations around the world will come to recognize the negative impact of not responding to the problem. Personally, I'm more worried about our own reluctance to accept responsibility here than trying to convince others.

Paying for millions in profits for insurance companies is far worse for me than paying taxes to government for social service programs that improve all our lives.

That's because you have no concept of what those profits actually fund, and the overwhelming majority of government spending doesn't make anyone's life better and in more than a few cases makes them worse.

    1. Sure. We looked at 100 years of a 100,000 year cycle and have come to that conclusion.

    2. Most nations are going to say "sure", then do what they want to do.

The earth has never been above 22 degrees C even when the CO2 in the atmosphere was 7000 PPM.

    1. That's because the line on the temperature graph went from generally horizontal to near vertical over a period of the last 279 years. That graph would draw any scientist's attention if found in any research lab.
    2. All dificult new ideas go thru a challenging time period for acceptance. This will too.
    3. As in all things, there's always a first time for anything.

    1. That's because you're measuring in 0.2 increments and 279 years of a 100,000 year cycle is nothing
    2. Good luck with that. You've got 12 years. NY will be underwater by 2015 if you don't hurry.
    3. Yeah. I mean the Earth didn't go over 22 degrees C when the atmosphere had 7000 PPM CO2, but sure.

I don't believe CO2 is the only greenhouse gas contributing to the problem.

    Of course you don't.

You have to find a reason to believe the nonsense.
